Our payroll team is looking for a Payroll Officer with working knowledge of Chris21 to join our growing team. This role is hybrid and will be based in our Broadmeadows office and is eligible for RDOs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Code & input timesheets and attendance sheets in preparation for processing.
• Ensure all attendance sheets have been received.
• Ensure all pay run input is accurate, balances with batch headers and is completed within payroll time frames.

• $69,746.76 per annum (pro rata) plus Superannuation

As a Library Officer you will contribute to the provision of high quality library services that meet the educational, recreational and information needs of the diverse Hume community by providing a high level of customer service and supporting the professional presentation of library facilities.

What you’ll be doing:

• Undertake regular direct customer service duties, including regular evening and weekend shifts.
• Issue and return all formats promptly and efficiently.
• Register new library members and issue replacement cards.
• Perform reconciliation of branch cash takings in accordance with Council procedures.
• Troubleshoot library computers and Hardware as appropriate.
• Ensure that opening and closing procedures are correctly implemented when rostered at the beginning or end of the day.
• Assist Librarians with collection maintenance as directed.
• Withdraw stock in accordance with collection management procedures.
• Promote library resources and programs as part of branch outreach activities.
• Work as part of the larger team to provide relevant, attractive and well maintained collections for the community.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

• Successful completion of Year 10.
• Experience in a Public Library or similar ebvironment.
• Excellent demonstrated written and oral communication skills with an ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent Customer Service skills with an ability to deal with difficult customers and present a positive Council image.
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use a variety of computer hardware and software with an ability to instruct customers with various IT requirements.
• Demonstrated experience and sills in facilitating programs within library setting.
• Ability to develop working relationships with staff and work together in a team environment.
