To provide a high level of general office administration tasks that supports the Broadmeadows Community Centre Leader.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage appropriate systems to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day administration including general correspondence, purchasing, document management, collation of data and reports.
- Administer the Centre’s booking system, including point of contact enquiries, including the maintenance of and adherence to the booking system and administration of accounting processes.
- Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Broadmeadows Community Hub as per the Operations Manual.
- Ensure the centre is maintained and well presented to a high standard and any maintenance and cleaning issues are dealt with promptly through liaison with the Council’s Facilities Management Team.
- Help promote and support the participation of a wide range of users including tenants in the facility and Council programs through collaborative approaches and maintenance of day-to-day facility operational functions.
- Assist the community by providing accurate information and advice about Council services in a polite, friendly, and professional manner.
- Assist with the setting and packing up of the hire spaces in accordance with the needs of the user groups.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:
- Knowledge and/or proficiency in the use of facility booking and administration systems within a community setting.
- Proficiency in the application of standard office administration and clerical procedures and practices.
- Commitment to quality customer service provision and the ability to follow through all enquiries effectively and efficiently.
- Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively and gain co-operation and assistance from customers and colleagues, particularly in a multicultural setting.
- Ability to work as a member of a team committed to providing efficient and quality customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to gain cooperation and assistance from customers and colleagues.
Required Certifications & Qualifications:
- A nationally recognised Certificate in a related discipline (Administration or Customer Service) or relevant experience.
- Current driver’s licence.
