Working with Civica Justice Services business unit, we are currently looking for a Learning and Capability Manager who can bring their dynamic and creative approach to the role. As a customer-centric professional, you will have the opportunity to drive innovative design and enable the delivery of engaging and professional training. Your main focus will be on aligning the training programs with defined learning outcomes for both our employees and our business.

In this role in addition to the above you will:

• Design a captivating training program to ensure that all employees, both new and existing, become experts in product and policy.
• Guide and support the team's development while assisting with an ongoing quality assurance program that identifies any gaps in their knowledge.
• Conduct training through various methods including classroom instruction, virtual sessions, and online modules.
• Oversee a training calendar for new system releases, process or policy changes, and refresher courses.
• Act as the administrator for the Justice Services Learning Management System (LMS).

As the face of TAL, you will offer TAL’s life insurance products directly to customers, providing general advice and recommendations to support their purchasing decisions and convert to a successful and compliant sale.  

Key responsibilities include: 

• Educate clients about TAL’s insurance products, to help the, gain a full understanding of their options 
• Establish and maintain effective relationships though inbound and outbound queries 
• Achieve realistic monthly revenue and compliance targets associated with a general advice role  
• Accountable for managing accurate documentation and generation of quotes 
• Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure a positive sales and application experience

• Identify operational requirements and opportunities for improvement.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of key operational processes including backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery 
• Design, build and support an operating model that positions MedHealth to confidently face a dynamic future utilising new technology and best practice processes.
• Gather information by analysing how MHG systems interact, process workflows and business service requirements to ensure that MHG’s IT environment is fit for purpose.
• Develop key metrics to measure success through operational data and information.
• Research and make recommendations on software products and services, conduct feasibility studies for software and systems products planned for purchase and give suggestions based on findings.
• Cover a broad range of activities including application support, capacity planning, storage/backup, disaster recovery and IT asset management.
• Identify emerging and current operational risks ensuring that there is an effective approach in place to manage risks.
• Analyse and provide solution to system issues to improve stability and prevent incidents.
• Work with vendors by building and maintaining a strong working relationship with key partners to improve service and put in place appropriate remediation to remediate issues.
• Responsible for the definition, design, implementation, and maintenance of support capabilities for infrastructure and applications across MHG.
• Identify incident trends; recommend and implement improvements to proactively prevent and reduce incidents.
• Respond to incidents within the MHG environment as part of the Incident process.
• Support effective change management practices.
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures for the daily maintenance of applications and underlying systems
• Put in place automation of the operating procedures and monitoring capabilities.
• Identify new solutions for improved processes, as well as develop cost/benefit analysis for business solutions
• Make certain that technology solutions adhere to quality standards and ITIL processes.
• Collaborate with the project teams to review or inspect work to guarantee their quality.
• Via a continuous improvement mindset ensure processes are agreed and documented, actions out of post incident reviews are implemented and proactive actions are undertaken to prevent incidents.
• Review and evolve practices to ensure that they are fit for purpose and providing the best outcomes.
• Ensure that all systems are risk managed and align with the architectural strategy and meet cybersecurity requirements.
• Function as an effective, positive team member
• Maintain active knowledge of work health and safety practices and procedures
• Adhere to all policy and procedures
• Carry out other reasonable duties as required
• Undertake project work as determined by the business

You will be working within the Lifebroker business unit who compare a variety of insurance products across 5 of Australia’s top insurers.  

 
Through our General Advice model, we provide the information necessary for our customers to make an informed decision to solve their insurance needs. We want our customers to turn to us in the first instance, to solve their insurance needs. 

What you will be doing:  

• Working within the sales team to achieve monthly sales targets. 

• Facilitate online and phone enquiries, providing a positive experience for all. 
• Contact, establish and maintain effective relationships with clients to manage policy renewals.  
• Educate clients about the available insurance products, to help each client gain a full understanding of their options. 
• Responsible to achieve monthly targets.  
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and generation of quotes. 
• Collaborate effectively with your team & other departments so clients experience an efficient and accurate application process.

Working in the Claims - Group team, this role is accountable for the provision of personal and empathic service to clients and the proficient assessment of life claims in accordance with TAL’s claims philosophy, claims procedures, policy wording, and within stated authority limits.

In this role you will:

• Independently manage a portfolio of claims end-to-end
• Active engagement of key stakeholders to deliver timely outcomes for customers
• Assess, analyse, calculate and finalize claims payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Provide exceptional customer service including management of claims, communication and inquiries
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the timely and quality management of claims
• Participation in case conferences, peer case discussions, instructing third party service providers
