As our new IT Solution Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the IT Technology and Architecture Team and will be working with project teams, Operational teams and in conjunction with the Domain Architect – Connectivity to provide guidance, provisioning and the configuration of enterprise infrastructure and business services to realise project and strategic outcomes. 

Your role will include:  

  • Perform build and configuration activities relating to project initiatives as defined in project architecture. Typically these projects require a strong understanding of technologies such as dot1X,  Cisco ISE, WiFi 6, Cisco DNA Centre, Cisco switches/Wireless LAN controllers and Zscaler (ZPA, ZIA). You will be the lead engineer in designing and implementing these technologies. 

  • Identify best practice technical standards, practices and policies to support the delivery of a robust and fit for purpose solutions to support the projects and initiatives.  

  • Contribute to the development of High-Level Designs (HLDs) & Detailed Level Designs (DLD) for project initiatives.  

  • Provide input to domain strategies and roadmaps by providing insights from the deployment of technologies in real world scenarios leveraging practical experience.  

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in relation to technical standards and services across the group.

What are we looking for from you?

You will bring your skills and experience in similar Architecture roles. Specifically: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Network or related discipline  

  • Experience in a subject matter expert role within an IT Connectivity Infrastructure team.  

 

The following skills and experiences are crucial for this role:  

  • Cisco WiFi 6 wireless deployment including on-prem and cloud WLC deployment. 

  • Cisco dot1X and ISE Integration focusing on deploying zero trust enterprise networks.   

  • Zscaler ZIA and ZPA deployment focusing on Zscaler zero trust architecture. 

  • Cisco solutions such as Routing and switching, DNA centre, Cisco ISE and Cisco WLCs.  

  • Strong technical skillset relating to the technologies contained within the Connectivity Domain.  

  • Strong documentation skills. The successful candidate is expected to produce high-level and detailed level design documents.  

  • High level understanding of Cisco SDA, ASAs and SD-WAN technologies  

  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking, problem solving, technical, and analytical skills. 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL, CCNA, CCNP or CCIE etc.)  

  • Ability to travel to all Aurecon location (ANZ, Asia) for configuration and cutover activities.
