N & RM Throckmorton is a well known dairy farm based in Toora that specialises in breeding, raising, and utilisation of dairy animals, primarily cows, for the production of milk and the various dairy products processed from it.

N & RM Throckmorton is now looking for a Dairy Cattle Farm Operator to join their team.

The candidate will responsible for the following duties:

• Assist in controlled breeding experiments to develop improved livestock strains 
• Operate milking plant and equipment in a safe manner, undertake multiple functions including reading and recording instrument information e.g., milk vat temperatures and cow numbers and matching cow ID to calves to produce a quality milk outcome;
• Operate a dairy recycling system; 
• Calf feeding, including tubing colostrum;
• Assisting with and/or performing irrigation works; 
• Inspect livestock to gauge the effectiveness of feed formulae; 
• Transport, handle and store chemicals; prepare and apply chemicals;
• Operate farm and dairy shed-related vehicles, plant and equipment; 
• Identify and report equipment not operating normally, maintenance of plant and machinery; 
• Maintain records to ensure accurate information for stock and inventory control;


The right applicant will possess:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Diary Cattle Farm Operator;

About This Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a teaching focused lecturer in the marketing discipline on a continuing basis. The marketing discipline has a highly active research group, with researchers that have published in the top journals in marketing and related subject areas.

About This Opportunity?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to innovative research developments within the scope of data management and data mining. This position will be jointly supported by ARC Discovery Project DP200103650 Making Spatiotemporal Data More Useful: An Entity Linking Approach and the Australian Research Council (ARC) Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Information Resilience (CIRES).

This position will be based in CIRES which provides additional opportunities to the successful candidate to work across multiple projects with industry and government partners, providing a wealth of experience in multi-disciplinary teams, research planning, and industry and public sector dynamics. As a research focused academic at level A the incumbent will be supported and guided by more senior academic research staff with the expectation of an increasing degree of autonomy over time.

Key responsibilities will include:?

Research
Conduct innovative and reproducible research related to data management, with a particular focus on entity linking and privacy protection of spatiotemporal data.
Disseminate results through high-quality publications and open-source algorithms.

We are currently performing large-scale pooled CRISPR screens and using assays in these screens to identify genes that impact on proliferation, anchorage independence, and tumourigenicity.
