Randstad are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer for our client Queensland Rail.

Purpose of the role:
Provide expert signalling services to deliver quality, commercially focused outcomes across Queensland Rail and to apply interpret and support the continuous improvement of standards and specifications related to signalling design and testing processes.
Main Duties and Accountabilities:
• Be accountable and responsible for planning and engineering solutions across Queensland Rail.
• Provide expert engineering and testing services to achieve set objectives, considering scope, quality and safety considerations.
• Development of solutions and interpreting specifications for signals and design.
• Knowledge of interlocking, set-to-work, including testing and engineering.
• Design, install and test signal equipment
• Monitor and manage compliant requirements of professional practice and/or Quality Management System are met to provide consistent output of signaling services.
• Create an environment which promotes and values professional integrity and business-focused engineering practice through leadership and guidance.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
• Extensive knowledge of railway safe working principles
• High level of skill in meeting statutory, regulatory and policy obligations, particularly in relation to satisfying the safety environment, contract processes and human resources requirements in a commercially focused business.
• Knowledge of and willingness to commit to and work within Queensland Rail's values and behaviours.
