About the Role
An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Occupational Health Physiotherapist that will work across our various Western Australian operations and provide specialised service in the management of musculoskeletal disorders in the workplace.
Reporting through to the Human Factors Lead, your specialised knowledge and expertise in this field will cover a large scope including early intervention, assessment, treatment, and proactive workplace management to maximise capacity, improve outcomes and minimise risk. In this role, your key responsibilities will involve:
Triaging and managing patient caseload according to clinical priorities and service needs whilst ensuring early contact and review for all musculoskeletal injuries utilising a variety of methods (phone, telehealth, face to face) consultations.
Clinical assessment of musculoskeletal disorders, development of treatment and management plans, and the provision of clinical Physiotherapy treatment and exercise rehabilitation programs.
Assisting with the development and implementation of education and coaching of personnel involved within the injury management process to increase understanding of musculoskeletal injury assessment and management.
Working with the safety department and employee, contributing to injury investigations, and developing action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
Conducting workplace assessments and providing recommendations to site rehabilitation consultants and line management to improve rehabilitation case management outcomes and timeframes.
Application of biopsychosocial principles in relation to musculoskeletal injury prevention and management.
Providing support to the Human Factors team as required, including the completion of Ergonomic and Psychosocial Risk assessments.

What you can bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy with progression towards a post graduate qualification would be well regarded.
Being registered with the appropriate professional body AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.
Demonstrated relevant clinical experience with a proven track record in outpatient musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, exercise rehabilitation, Human Factors & Ergonomics, strength training or Occupational Physiotherapy.
Previous industrial experience with a sound understanding of current work, health and safety legislation and a demonstrated ability to adopt a risk management approach to injury prevention and management would be well regarded.
Distinct ability to communicate well across all levels of the organisation, with profound interpersonal skills.
Efficient and effective time management, and caseload management skills.
