About the role Deliver advanced clinical skills and consultancy services to complex psychological presentations at the Sexual Health and HIV Service (SHHS). Development of psychological services within the areas of HIV and complex STI's. Contribution to research and educational initiatives both local and statewide as well as supervision of other psychologists. About you Demonstrated experience and skills in contemporary clinical health psychology and an advanced level of knowledge, expertise and skills in Sexual Health, HIV and / or health psychology. Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills and the ability to provide specialist clinical advice regarding professional standards and clinical service development. Demonstrated skills and ability to apply evidence-based principles to facilitate novel complex clinical psychology decisions within a highly specialised multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate service improvement initiatives in the area of sexual health / health psychology, including a demonstrated ability to conduct research and/or evaluation relevant to clinical service delivery and provide clinical supervision of probationary / less experienced psychologists as required. The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Psychology from an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) approved tertiary institution. An APAC accredited post graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology is highly desirable, as is an area of Practice Endorsement and Supervisor accreditation. Demonstrated high level knowledge, expertise, and skills in clinical psychology, preferably within an acute hospital setting, is desirable.
