The role As our Senior Policy Officer in the Mental Health Alcohol and other Drugs Strategy and Planning Branch (MHAOD) within the Child and Youth team, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and assessment of system planning and strategic policies in coordination with Queensland Health staff and various partners. This in turn supports the advancing of Queensland Health's initiatives and priorities for children, adolescents, and young people as outlined in Better Care Together and Shifting Minds strategic plans. The successful personYou will have demonstrated: Expertise in analyzing data to inform planning, policy, and strategy development across health and related sectors. Strong project management skills, particularly in social and/or health policy, with a focus on children, adolescents, and young people. Strong written communication abilities and adeptness in engaging with stakeholders. Familiarity with mental health, alcohol, and other drugs issues at both national and state levels, or ability to swiftly acquire such knowledge.
