Currently seeking a talented Senior Finance Officer to join their busy team for an 6-month temporary assignment. About the role: As Senior Finance Officer, you will deliver financial management and budgetary functions which includes providing high-level advice, support to internal and external stakeholders and reporting obligations. In addition, key duties include:Development of internal budgetsFinancial reporting and analysis for senior managementCosting analysis for internal and external stakeholdersDevelopment of annual and monthly estimates for internal and external budget requirementsProvide financial and business advice to divisional stakeholders and assist in organizational performance through effective budget management About you:Previous experience in financial and management accountingGovernment background is a must!Professional accounting qualifications (CPA qualified preferred) Background in accrual accounting, budgeting and administrative processes with emphasis on the preparation, liaison, and submission of internal and external budgetsCompetency in the use of accounting systems such as TechnologyOne, including a high level of MS Excel and Power BI skillsHigh level of communication and interpersonal skills Benefits:ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)6-months temporary assignmentFull time hours - Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per dayTownsville location$60 -$65 per hour super *** Please note the successful candidate for the role must hold Australian Citizenship and willing to complete a Federal Police Check *** At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
