Your new role
Due to movements and growth opportunities, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Melbourne Commercial sales team. Your focus will be plumbers and developers in all facets of residential and commercial construction. This includes individual plumbers, plumbing businesses, builders and developers.
Reporting to our VIC Commercial & Design Manager, a ‘typical’ day will see you developing and maintaining relationships with key external decision makers and influencers to our is embedded and business opportunities are identified across the entire construction market.
Most importantly, you will manage key accounts at a senior level, supporting the sale of all commercial offerings. You will deliver this by assisting in the preparation of budgets and sales targets, ensuring that GWA deliver on agreed targets and growth expectations.

About you
As a Business Development Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ previous experience from the commercial, building and construction industry, you’ll be:
- Great at developing and maintaining relationships with work colleagues and customers
- Able to influence business leaders, distributors and retailers, to achieve improved commercial outcomes for GWA
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Have knowledge of, and skills in, applying the principles and processes in developing and implementing marketing strategies and sales techniques.
- A good understanding of product development
- And preferably hold a Diploma or Tertiary qualification in Marketing Business, Architecture or Design
