National Staffing & Capacity Manager

The Staffing and Capacity Manager fulfils an essential need for two parties: the internal person seeking a new project opportunity and the project or account looking for extra hands. They play an intrinsic role in finding the right people for the right job at the right moment; creating a bridge over the gap that once existed between two parties who needed each other. This is why they are so important at Publicis Sapient 

You will partner closely with the Managing Directors, and leaders in our company to help plan, forecast, source and ensure we have the right mix of people available across Publicis Sapient Australia to fill client demand. 

The Staffing function involves assigning people to specific projects and monitoring this involvement in relation to project and business priorities.  This role also works with Hiring to source contract and permanent staffing and ensure resourcing aligns with client deliverables. Key Performance Indicators include Billable Utilisation, Staffing cost to Revenue and the effective management of non-billable time.  

Your work will help us to ensure that our People and Revenue costs are in balance: one of our key business indicators. In meeting this objective, you support the growth of our people and the business by anticipating, effectively planning and managing project allocations.  This role is essential in creating a great experience for our teams. 

Capacity planning and forecasting
•    Owns and drives capacity planning function in Australia
•    Integrates Australian reporting into APAC region and global
•    Participates in regional capacity planning 
•    Works to achieve unfilled demand objectives
 
Staffing 
•    Owns and drives staffing function in Australia
•    Works to achieve billable utilisation and people costs objectives
•    Provides insights to, and manages inputs from, all stakeholders to ensure time tracking and data integrity to produce accurate staffing reporting to effectively manage our business
•    Manages weekly staffing meetings to coordinate actions nationally
Workflow process and internal communications
•    Apply principles of change management to ensure that general workflow process is understood and adhered to
•    Anticipates challenges and risks to project support, and proactively identifies solutions and recommendations for leaders to take
•    Works to improve the training materials and process particulars 
 
Mentoring and team building
•    Works with the People teams, locally, regionally and globally to drive achievement of capacity management, People and Business Strategy objectives
•    Works with other members of Australian LT to ensure capacity planning and staffing functions are aligned with company purpose and work focus
