Role Overview:
The Strategic Business Partnering Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving Melba’s progressive and ambitious People Strategy. Understanding the critical link between people and business success, this role is responsible for leading a team of Business Partners to ensure our leaders are supported right across the employee life cycle.
Our Business Partnering team will leverage data to provide insights and to accelerate the achievement of our overall strategic goals, whilst continuing to improve the employee experience from attraction right through to exit.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic HR Business Partnering model to enhance the overall employee experience and customer experience for our supported people.
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of HR Business Partners enabling them to truly partner with the organization and to understand their business needs, leverage their expertise, data and other insights to add value.
- Take every opportunity, big and small, to enhance the employee experience right throughout the employee life cycle.
- Partner with senior leaders to develop key relationships and provide strategic HR support, advice and coaching.
- Work with senior leaders to predict and anticipate workforce needs and to design roles and teams to best achieve our strategic and operational outcomes.
- Ensure monthly operational data is reviewed and communicated with key stakeholders and acts to inform continuous improve initiatives and identify any risks identified for action i.e employee engagement, exit interview feedback.
- Develop and update Employee Experience policies and procedures, ensuring they are contemporary, compliant and reflective of Melba’s commitment to becoming an employer of choice.
About You:
- Proven experience (7+ years) in a strategic Business Partnering role.
- Strong working knowledge of legislative frameworks and industrial awards.
- Highly developed leadership skills, adopting an empowering coaching to bringing out the best in your team.
- A creative and strategic thinker where you can see the big picture, connect the dots, and think outside the box.
- Strong communicator and relationship builder and able to adapt your style to meet the needs of others.
- A Pragmatic approach with the ability to analyse situations and act accordingly.
- A good understands of risk management principles and can manage risk accordingly.
- Results oriented and self-motivated and not afraid to be hands on as needed.
- A flexible and positive outlook.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or similar, or equivalent experience.
