About the role

This role is an exciting opportunity based in Sydney, where you'll be part of the core Engine team working directly with our client to launch a new digital bank to the Australian market.

The role will put you at the heart of Engine’s Delivery function, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the Engine platform for our clients. You’ll work on large-scale programmes, end-to-end, where you’ll be expected to manage day-to-day delivery, focusing on a particular functional workstream (eg. Onboarding or Payments & Cards). You’ll work with clients to understand the challenges they face and help tackle them with a technology-centred approach. Through this, you’ll develop a strong understanding of the Engine product and digital banking, applying its uses to markets around the world.

We’re looking for versatile, adaptable individuals, who enjoy the challenge of a varied and collaborative role. You’ll work in tandem with the Product owners and Engineering functions to design and implement solutions that meet client needs. You’ll enjoy problem solving, working with a wide variety of stakeholders, and supporting our clients throughout their transformation journeys as well as strong project management skills.  

What you'll get to do:

• Build strong relationships at all levels of the client organisation, through pre-sales to implementation
• Understand client vision, challenges and priorities, applying your knowledge of the Engine product
• Work closely with our product team and solution architects to design a solution which meets the needs of the client, and future clients
• Be responsible for the delivery of an area of the solution, representing the client’s needs and priorities in internal decision making and planning
• Coordinate solution delivery with Engineering in line with programme timelines
• Support the programme transition from delivery into Run, sharing your knowledge of the client and setting up the Run team for success
• Contribute to the success of the Delivery function as it scales, sharing your learnings from client implementations and establishing our Engine delivery methodologies

Your background

• You have worked in client facing roles, in a consulting role, or at a technology company
• You have some experience in financial services and technology delivery
• You have experience delivering complex programmes 
• You can  rapidly understand client problems and present solutions in a structured and informative manner
• You take ownership and know when to seek external support for risks and issues you identify

SCOPE:

The accountant - APAC assists with the general running of the office in the Sydney office facility. Working closely with Finance supervisor-APAC on performing day to day accounting functions ensuring management has high quality, accurate, and timely financial data to enable informed business decisions.  This role actively promotes internal process improvement and provides financial support to all entities to drive the achievement of business objectives.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

• This role reports to the Finance Supervisor - APAC

RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORITIES:

• FINANCE: With respect to financial matters with the APAC entities
• Prepared end to end month-end close process for the APAC entities.
• Maintenance of Journal entries and trial balance.  Maintain supporting worksheets of prepaid expenses, accruals, provisions, intercompany recharges.
• Reconciliation of sub ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with the timeliness and accuracy of company financial reporting documents.
• Assist Finance Supervisor – APAC in maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Preparation and maintenance of APAC analysis and other reports as finance director requirements.
• Preparation of APAC Cashflow forecast.
• Assistance of preparation of statutory accounts and meeting audit requirements.
• Banking:
  • Oversight of reconciliation of all bank accounts for each entity and prepare reconciliation for these accounts along with any journal entries that are needed to be reflected in the general ledger.
  • Liaising with bank`s relation manager to oversight complex transfers and other matters
• Accounts Receivable (AR):
  • Monitor and follow up AR by liaising with the Sales team and customers.
  • Work with Customer Services and accounts manager on invoicing issues.
  • Pursuing overdue invoices.

• Accounts payable (AP):
  • Coordinate the processing of urgent or special invoices requiring special allocation/multiple approvals.
  • Manage the process of reimbursement (Concur and other)
  • Process vendor invoices (ad hoc)

• PAYROLL:
  • Oversight of all payroll processing for APAC teams.
  • Calculation of APAC sales commission.
  • Oversight Australia Payroll tax calculation and reconciliation.
  • Lodgment of APAC entities payroll related reports and statements.

• ADMINISTRATION:
  • Prepare and submit renewal of Singapore employees’ health insurance.
  • Prepare and submit renewal of APAC Workers Compensation insurance.
  • Support admin portal access Concur, ADP, RSM and other if required.

Shared Services refers to the domain within our Product Division that has business ownership and accountability for the common assets and functions used within the Product Division. Shared Services is complex. As the link between other product domains, we are the business owner of over 40 applications.  

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the Business Analyst will support the integration of business needs with technology solutions through analysing information, understanding the requirements of stakeholders and vendor partners to define effective solutions. 

About the Role: 

• Work with stakeholders to understand needs, manage conflicts, and validate requirements.  

• Form and maintain effective relationships with third parties such as Vendors, Outsourced Partners, Business Partners and Clients  

• Organise and synthesize stakeholder information, apply analysis techniques, and ensure artefacts meet quality standards.  

• Capture, manage, and communicate requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with business needs.  

• Prepare and present business analysis artefacts according to Community of Practice (COP) standards.

About You: 

• At least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst in the IT industry within the Banking or Financial Services industry, payments experience highly regarded.  

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business studies or equivalent 

• Advanced presentation and communication skills  

• Proven experience in delivering results to meet customer expectations 

• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), IIBA, CBAP or BABOK qualifications.

Purpose of your role 

As a Senior Support Engineer you will be accountable for all escalations within the Support team. You will act as a technical expert for platforms and systems which fall under the SupportOps remit, ensuring requests are dealt with efficiently and with a high level of service.
