Alvaro Bros Builders is a boutique builder operating in the Sydney’s exclusive eastern suburbs. We require experienced and a self motivated Landscape Gardener to join our award winning team working on Architecturally designed luxury homes.
Works include:
Measuring and mapping the garden area.
Amending soil with compost, fertilizers, or other necessary additives.
Rototilling and preparing planting beds.
Installing retaining walls, borders, and edging.
Building garden structures such as pergolas, arbors, and trellises.
Planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and groundcovers according to the design plan.
Installing lawns through seeding or laying sod.
Ensuring proper drainage to prevent waterlogging or erosion.
Installation of irrigation systems
Applying mulch to planting beds to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Installing edging to define garden beds and pathways.
Adding water features such as ponds, fountains, or waterfalls.
Placing garden furniture, sculptures, and other decorative elements.
Mowing, aerating, and fertilizing lawns.
Edging the lawn to create clean borders.
Aerating the soil to improve air and water penetration.
Applying fertilizers to promote healthy grass growth.
Overseeding to fill in bare or thin areas.
Identifying and removing weeds manually or using herbicides.
Applying pre-emergent weed control to prevent weed seeds from germinating.
Mulching garden beds to suppress weed growth.
Pruning trees and shrubs to maintain shape and encourage healthy growth.
Removing dead, damaged, or diseased branches.
Trimming hedges and bushes to keep them neat and tidy.
Watering plants as needed, considering seasonal variations.
Fertilizing plants to provide necessary nutrients.
Staking or supporting plants that need extra help standing upright.
Deadheading flowers to encourage more blooms.
Inspecting plants for signs of pests and diseases.
Applying pesticides or organic treatments as needed.
Implementing integrated pest management strategies.
Inspecting the garden to ensure everything meets the design specifications.
Cleaning up the site and disposing of any waste materials.
$60K - $72K per annum + Super + Overtime
The right applicants will
Be a fully qualified with 2+ years experience in a similar role
Be able to efficiently and competently complete landscaping work to a high standard
be fit, enthusiastic and have a great “can-do” work ethic
be a team player willing to assist other trades;
Hold a General WHS Induction Card (“White Card”)
