Key-Account Relationship Manager, Regional Australia Manager
What can you expect?
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic individual to join Marsh’s Corporate and Commercial business to drive our relationship with a corporate authorised representative and strategic partner, represented across regional Australia.
First and foremost, this is a role that drives and enables portfolio growth. You will also liaise with our partner and connect it with relevant Marsh colleagues, providing oversight of compliance, governance, finance, debtors, IT/digital deployment, MCO, claims, placement and other Marsh supporting services.
This role will require interstate/regional travel and is suited to an individual passionate about the Australian agricultural industry and can develop suitable products. Due to the specific focus of the role, candidates can work remotely from a regional area and will not be required to attend a Marsh office on a regular basis.

Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with our partner’s key account decision makers and frequently monitor political, management and other changes to preserve and protect the Company's relationship at all times.
Possess and apply a thorough understanding of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs to ensure that services and programs continue to support the needs and expectations of our partner’s key account clients.
Engender a positive and tenacious client retention and development focus through regular communication.
Take an active and direct involvement in all material claim related matters where claims appear to be in a state of duress and ensure that proper claims management strategies are developed and implemented on all complex/large claims.
Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers at a senior level.
Maximise utilisation of Marsh's national and global resources by maintaining an awareness of and using facilities and capabilities available.
Lead monthly partnership meetings with our partner’s regional leaders and others as required to ensure oversight of operational “on the ground” matters.
Possess and apply a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments through attendance at company and industry training events.
Comply fully with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance procedures.
Maintain oversight of the delivery of all Marsh support services, including but not limited to compliance, governance, finance, debtors, IT/digital deployment, MCO, claims, placement.
Recognise and capitalise upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities – including new clients, cross-sell/expanded business, specific campaign design and oversight.
Ensure no leakage of revenue opportunity to third party/wholesale brokers.
Develop new business opportunities from existing portfolio and other sources – including managing current levels of inflation and how best to ensure client exposures are appropriately protected.
What you need to have?
Meet the training requirements of Tier 1 FSRA Compliance.
Admission as a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker by the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia.
Completion and application of other areas of professional development such as Leadership, Management, Negotiation, Presentation, Broking or Project Management.
Track record of managing client relationships and growing account revenue.
Knowledge of or interest in agricultural industry and associated risks.
Willing to travel regionally and nationally.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
