Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Manager; Compliance Advice - 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract The opportunity Join a high-performing, dynamic team Flexible (Sydney or Melbourne) 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract Your new role We are looking for a talented individual to join our Compliance team in QBE AUSPAC in a role of a Manager, Compliance Advice to provide strategic compliance support to our business. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compliance Advice Breaches you will be an integral part of the compliance team, influencing the compliance culture at QBE by working directly with the first line of defence. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to undertake assessments of breaches of law, whilst managing compliance activities. Other responsibilities include: Oversight of breaches being appropriately identified, investigated, and reported and ensure timely corrective action is taken when breaches are detected Identify all appropriate external regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to financial services and apply or implement as relevant to facilitate compliance of breach reporting obligations Take ownership and leadership to successfully implement change in compliance related matters Oversight of local compliance requirements, policies, and internal guidelines Delivering elements of the compliance strategy and plan and supporting Senior Managers Compliance Advice Breaches to achieve positive results for the business in line with strategy and business plans. Proactively inputting to the strategy for the AUSPAC compliance advice team, performing and completing sufficient planning of assigned objectives to ensure appropriate risk management and coordinated approach for initiatives; Providing compliance advice to ensure QBE meets it's compliance and conduct obligations; Proactively managing QBE's regulatory risk by providing advice that is consistent with regulator and ombudsman expectations About you Your story will include strong people leadership capabilities, strong interpersonal skills in establishing relationships with senior stakeholders, as well as effective time management to meet deadlines. In addition, you will have strong influencing skills, a passion for breach advising, a strong regulatory understanding, with the ability to form insights, with at least 4 years experience in a compliance or risk management role within the financial services or general insurance industry. Additional Skills: Knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and relevant compliance obligations will be highly regarded Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, build relationships and influence stakeholders Ability to work remotely, with cross-functional teams Relevant qualification in business, commerce or equivalent About QBE We can never really predict what's around the corner, but at QBE we're asking the right questions to enable a more resilient future - helping those around us build strength and embrace change to their advantage.
