Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Location: Sydney Type: Permanent, full time The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join the Business Transformation team as Head of Distribution and Underwriting Digitisation. In this role you will provide the vision for Business lines technology and digital strategy and lead a team to deliver on the Technology and Digital roadmap aligned with our Agile ways of working. In support of Business's broader transformation and modernisation program, you will be a key interface between Business product lines, process simplification and process engineering, data, change delivery and technology functions. You will build strong relationships across QBE to leverage existing and market knowledge to ensure our delivery is strategic and aligns to QBE's long term digital roadmap vision. Your new role A day in the role may look a bit like this; As a Product Manager, lead the Agile Release Train squads via our two in the pocket model, alongside your Release Train Engineer. Develop the technology and digital visions and strategy for Business, which focusses on capability uplift and transform for our business partners and brokers, who trade with us via electronic channels. Coordinate with process simplification, data & analytics and Business product units, to design modern technology platforms and digital solutions for our underwriters and broker partners. Lead the build and delivery of underwriting and digital assets using Agile methodology, to agreed timelines, accountabilities, and governance controls. Lead the prioritisation of deliverables and initiatives aligned with technology and digital strategy back-logs. Develop and share insights from internal and external networks and environmental scans. Work closely across QBE's global network to ensure knowledge and asset sharing. Happy to talk flexible working. About you To be successful you will have.... Extensive experience in general insurance digital platform development (greenfield), applications optimisation, automation strategy and technology platform ecosystem delivery. Extensive experience and a strong in-depth understanding of insurance product distribution, especially how general insurance brokers transact electronically with insurers such as QBE, for SME Business Package and Farm Package products. Extensive experience and a strong in-depth understanding of negotiated products lines / commercial insurance product underwriting processes and operating models. Extensive experience and knowledge on API orchestration platforms and solutions. Strong experience in leading Agile delivery value streams and squads. Sound understanding of DevOps ways of working model and methodology. Excellent strategy development, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership, relationship management and communications skills. Knowledge and experience on technology platform data architectures. Knowledge and experience on technology application ecosystems and vendor engagement.
