Australian Multicultural Community Services is seeking to appoint a full-time Senior Social Support Group Coordinator. This position will be for 38 hours per week (Full-time), to coordinate social support services for seniors from 65 years of age, to minimize their social isolation and empower them to be and feel socially included in a structured group-based activities with planned events and outings. We are seeking a Senior Social Support Group Coordinator who can demonstrate: Key Responsibilities include: Service Delivery: Assess needs, provide support to vulnerable clients, manage care plans, oversee transportation, organize information sessions, and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards. Program Management: Supervise staff and volunteers, manage reports and budgets, develop policies, maintain client confidentiality, and ensure target hours and compliance with organizational values and policies. Community Engagement: Liaise with partner organizations, ethnic community groups, and senior groups to promote services, organize community engagement activities, and involve communities in program planning and evaluation. Key selection criteria include: Skills and Qualifications: Fluency in a second language, competency in relevant software (MS Office, TurnPoint, DEX, MAC Portal), relevant qualifications in community service, leadership, or management, and certifications like First Aid, CPR, and Food Safety Handling. Experience and Abilities: Ability to work with vulnerable populations (elderly, dementia patients, people with disabilities), strong communication and negotiation skills, conflict management, and the capacity to manage competing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement. Teamwork and Compliance: Willingness to support team members, work cohesively within the organization, adhere to safety and legal requirements (driver's license, police check), and actively engage with the community.
