Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings. Benefits Competitive salary Opportunities for growth Supportive work environment Task & Responsibilities Installing apparatus ( such as, but not limited to : Fixes accessories, switchboards, protection devices, distribution boards, transformers, fixing switchboards on and offsite, appliance, energy equipment such as signs and emergency lighting. Through the utilization of various tools such as but not limited to hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, tin snips, side cutters, parrot cutters and saws, power tool (impact drivers, hammer drills, grinders,hacksaws, rotary hammer drill) and testing equipment. Fabricate, dismantle, assemble of utilities industry components. Fault finding electrical problems and testing to ensure issues of hazards have been rectified using correct electrical equipment such as mustimeters, combi checks, insulation resistance testers. Read drawings, diagrams, schedules and manuals. Lay wiring and terminate accessories. Installing and terminating LV cables such as TPA, SDI, XLPE, thermoplastic (flat sheathed circular) Installing support and protection of cables such as cable trays, trunking PVC conduits, corrugated conduit, unenclosed support (cable ties and clips), catenary support, adhesive fixings, etc. Solves problems in single and three phase low voltage electrical apparatus and circuits as well as solving problems in D.C circuit and electromagnetic circuits and A.C circuits.
