Benefits Competitive Salary Professional Growth Supportive Team Diverse Projects Stable Employment Task & Responsibilities Accurately interpret plans and diagrams, measure and mark surfaces to be tiled with precision. Prepare floor and wall surfaces by removing old materials, thoroughly cleaning, and filling holes and cracks as needed. Apply adhesives to surfaces and set tiles accurately. Grout tiles and remove excess material to ensure a clean finish. Cut and shape tiles using appropriate tools for precise fitting around corners, edges, and fixtures. Install a variety of tiles, including ceramic, clay, slate, marble, and glass, on both internal and external surfaces. Ensure proper alignment and spacing of tiles for a professional finish. Prepare and level floor areas, including the application of flooring mixtures such as cement, terrazzo, and granolithic. Apply waterproofing materials as required to protect surfaces and ensure durability. Install coloured tiles in intricate patterns and mosaics to create decorative designs. Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality standards and certification of finished projects. Offer recommendations on the proper care and maintenance of tiles after installation to help clients preserve their investment. Provide repair services as needed to maintain the longevity and aesthetic appeal of tiled surfaces. Qualification & Experience AQF certificate III and 2 years on-the-job training or AQF certificate IV. At least 2 years of proven work experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler Expertise in interpreting plans, measuring, marking, and installing various types of tiles. Proficiency in surface preparation, adhesive application, grouting, and tile cutting. Knowledge of waterproofing techniques and floor area preparation. Ability to create intricate patterns and mosaics and provide high-quality finishes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid construction safety card Sound knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety rules Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
