Your Role:
As our Chef, you will:
* Lead and manage the kitchen in collaboration with the Head Chef, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Create and design menus that highlight fresh, local produce and reflect current food trends.
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating in a high-volume restaurant environment.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented and motivated work environment.
* Contribute to managing food costs and maintaining inventory levels.
What You’ll Bring:
* Relevant Trade Qualification: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in culinary arts.
* Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
* A passion for food and a strong understanding of fresh, local produce.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional standards.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
* Experience in managing kitchen operations, including stock control, food cost management, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
