The Position
This is a key role for an experienced Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing the next generation of visible and infrared astronomical instrumentation. They will and have primary responsibility for oversight of the requirements definition, design synthesis and system validation, while working closely with Project Managers and interdisciplinary engineering teams.

We are looking for qualified (degree in Science, Engineering) Systems Engineer with experience in instrument or aerospace systems design including; requirements development, prototyping, build/manufacture and system validation.  A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.

The Supercomputing Application Specialist will work within the Scientific Services Team. This position will work collaboratively with researchers to assist them in exploiting the vast opportunities enabled by the supercomputers operated in the Pawsey centre. A technical aptitude, strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn are essential to support the researchers and to grow with technology. The Supercomputing Application Specialist will participate in maintaining existing as well as defining and building new supercomputing services.


Your duties will include:

- Provide specialist advice and software enhancement to research groups, drawing on extensive knowledge and experience to enable their utilisation at scale of significant supercomputing resources at Pawsey.
- Undertake collaborative projects with researchers, communities, software developers, vendors and other international centres.
- Identify suitable technologies, tools and algorithms relevant to user activities and encourage adoption to improve the productivity of the research community.
- Engage in and undertake strategic projects such as the radio astronomy SKA precursors (where requested).
- Develop and deliver specialist training to the Pawsey user community.
- Participate in evaluations of novel systems and technologies to inform the Pawsey infrastructure and services roadmap, and support transition to new systems.

To be considered you will need:


Essential:

- Relevant post graduate qualification or significant progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a scientific or computer-science discipline; or combination of equivalent relevant work experience and/or education/training.
- Proven working knowledge of parallel programming models, such as OpenMP, MPI, HIP or CUDA.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills including the ability to articulate technical concepts to a diverse range of clients.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and carry out tasks autonomously.


Desirable:
- Demonstrated expertise in the support, development and optimisation of supercomputing applications including GPU-based and distributed architectures.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to contribute novel ideas and approaches in support of scientific investigations.

As the Lead QA Engineer & Release Manager (Salesforce Commerce Cloud), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing, managing quality, and orchestrating release processes for our Salesforce Commerce Cloud projects. Salary Range $85000-$95000. Closing date 4 January 2024
Key Responsibilities:
• Quality Assurance Leadership: Work directly under the Director of Delivery, driving the implementation and execution of quality standards.
• Test Plan Management: Define processes, schedule milestones, and ensure all development tasks adhere to our high-quality standards.
• Release Coordination: Own the scheduling of Commerce Cloud releases and maintain a seamless coordination amongst diverse teams.
• Testing Expertise: Lead diverse testing types, from functional to performance, ensuring the quality of Salesforce Commerce Cloud projects.
• Automation Focus: Drive the balance between manual and automation testing. Encourage the development of automation frameworks when needed.
• Stakeholder Communication: Share acceptance criteria and create UAT parameters, providing clarity on testing timelines.
• Customer Support: Engage in troubleshooting, data analysis, and address customer complaints and issues with finesse
• Continuous Improvement: Introduce innovative testing types/tools for Salesforce Commerce Cloud, elevating the quality of our deliverables.

• Rollback Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for safe rollbacks in the event of failed deployments, minimizing disruptions and ensuring system availability.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience specifically in a Salesforce Commerce Cloud environment.
• Deep knowledge of both Site Genesis and SFRA.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various testing automation tools.
• 5+ years of cumulative experience in QA environment.
• Demonstrable leadership skills and team-oriented mindset.
