Full time position (38hrs per week)
Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000

Description of position:
o Installation of GPS tracking systems, DVR camera systems and other associated electronics into Trucks, Buses, Equipment, Machinery and Light vehicles
o Programming and testing of Telematics hardware and software configuration
o Identifying telematics or software faults
o writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures
o providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software and hardware design activities such as financial evaluation and costings for recommendations on technology purchases and upgrades
o Own tools will be required.
o Some tasks also involve training our Australian staff on the specialised specific Telematics tasks.
o Your working location will be spread across the State of Victoria ranging from Melbourne and other regional areas where our various clients are located including other states and international if required.
About You
o Must be physically fit and able work long hours if required and in varying climates
o Have a proven track record installation, programming and diagnosis of GPS Telematics, Alarms, Radios or other associated mobile electronics.
o Auto Electrical experience
o Be able to read wiring diagrams and understand instructions for new equipment
o Be able to test, debug, diagnose and correct errors and faults in software and hardware configuration and programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications (including hardware installation ) are perform to specification.
o Have good communication skills
o Be able to work unsupervised and have good time management skills
o Have auto electrical or electrical accessories fitting experience on light vehicles, trucks and heavy machinery
o Be computer literate and be able to learn new software systems
o Must be able to travel if required for interstate project work
Requirements
o Auto Electrical or Automotive Technology qualification desirable. Qualification in Information Technology (IT) will be an advantage combined with Automotive.
o 7 years or more experience with Telematics testing tools- software/ hardware
o Must have open manual drivers license with good driving history
o Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and D & A screening
o Must be Australian Resident or have permission to work in the country
