We care for patients post-operatively following a range of major and minor surgeries with both curative and palliative intent. Patient acuity and complexity is often high and we adjust our nurse to patient ratio as required to ensure high quality, safe patient care.

Our multidisciplinary surgical team has an exceptional culture of clinical learning and support, helping every team member to advance their career. We work closely with our Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) team to ensure our patients receive evidence based post-operative nursing care. The surgical ward is a 32-bed unit located on level 6 at Peter Mac.
