Hazara Rendering Pty Ltd is a building and constructions company in Keysborough in Victoria. They are now looking for a Solid Plasterer to join their team.
The Role
This role is full time position with an annual salary set at $70,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
Assessing space and planning the layout for plasterboard installation.
Installing insulation and vapour barriers to improve thermal and moisture control.
Taking precise measurements, marking, and cutting plasterboard to fit specific areas.
Handling and positioning plasterboard panels on walls, ceilings, and battens.
Securely attaching plasterboard to surfaces using appropriate fastening methods.
Preparing corner beads for installation.
Installing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres, and other plaster fittings.
Filling and covering joints and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds.
Smoothing and leveling surfaces using wet brushes and sandpaper.
Creating suitable mixtures and applying coats of plaster, cement, and render with trowels.
Ensuring uniform thickness by leveling and smoothing applied coats.
Checking and adjusting the alignment of corners, angles, and surfaces.
Applying decorative textures to finishing coats as needed.
Applying and finishing acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement, and similar substances.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience within a commercial setting
At least 4 years’ experience in applying decorative and protective coverings of plaster, cement and acrylic render finishing to the interiors and exteriors of structures
At least 4 years’ experience working with various plastering materials, such as plasterboard, insulation, and decorative finishes
Familiarity with a range of plastering materials such as plasterboard, insulation, and decorative finishes.
General construction induction and white card
Manual car licence and possess own reliable transport
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Saturday work is required (Mondays to Saturdays) and occasional overnight stays may occur depending on project
