About the Role 
A newly created position within the School of Mathematics and Statistics, in collaboration with the Melbourne Energy Institute, is now available for an outstanding academic with expertise in the development of mathematical and/or statistical methods of relevance to energy systems.

Your research expertise may include but is not limited to, optimisation or forecasting with a focus on contributing to Australia’s transition to a cleaner energy future.

You will contribute to the teaching and research excellence of the School, with publications in high quality journals and conferences, and capacity to mentor research students and secure independent grant funding to support a program of research. Active collaboration with others across the University of Melbourne is strongly encouraged, particularly via the Melbourne Energy Institute, as is collaboration with industry and government agencies. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

Conducting a program of research that contributes to the discipline of mathematics and/or statistics
Publishing research findings in international refereed journals and present results at seminars, conferences, and meetings
Teaching subjects to a standard that delivers a high-quality learning experience
Building and fostering partnerships with industry, government, collaborators at other Universities and other stakeholders
Actively supervising research students (undergraduate, graduate coursework and PhD students
Who We Are Looking For 
Our ideal candidate has an established track record of high-quality publications in leading international journal in the general areas of mathematical and/or statistical methods and applications, and demonstrated experience teaching at a university level. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a range of diverse stakeholders.  

You will also have: 

A PhD in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline 
A potential or demonstrated capacity to conduct research activities in collaboration with industry and/or government
Evidence of the ability to attract external research funding from national competitive research bodies and other sources, including industry
Evidence of the ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in mathematics and/or statistics
A demonstrated capacity to supervise undergraduate and graduate research students

THE ROLE:
As a Service Engineer, you will report directly to the VIC Service Manager and be responsible for the following duties:

• Service and maintenance of Leica TPS, GPS & GNSS products and accessories:
• Service and maintenance of Leica Construction Lasers and measurements products: Digital Construction (iCON), Automatic & Laser Levels.

Neotech Motor Mechanic requires a full-time mechanic for employment in our Hoppers Crossing workshop.

We require a full-time motor mechanic with the right attitude and skills with at least 2 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Cert IV qualification or equivalent in substantial experience. Salary of $70500 + 11% super for this full-time position.

You will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
Repair and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
Diagnosing faults and testing parts with the assistance of computers
Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts
Reassembling engines and parts following repair
Manage stock reordering and inventory as directed
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules , and regulations

The Service Delivery Manager role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction is high by providing quality services delivered to customers in accordance with contracts. • Software packaging and repackaging. This will cover from discovery through to deployment support
• Package based on BAU tickets as well as project
• Participate in project planning sessions and project delivery
• Prepare documentation for use by Operational staff

• Leverage enterprise grade tools, processes, and frameworks to deliver high quality services and outcomes to Datacom customers in accordance with SLAs

What you’ll bring

 

You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar Application Packaging role. You will have exceptional knowledge of packaging tools, InstallShield, PACE etc. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11 and MacOS operating systems. You will have knowledgeable skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE and Jamf.

 

You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.
