The Role
In your role as the Business Development Executive - APAC, you will be instrumental in driving incremental business for Pepperstone, focusing specifically on the APAC Region. Your responsibilities will include acquiring new partners, such as Introducing Brokers (IBs), MAMM, and Trading-related Social influencers in the APAC Region. You'll be actively involved in establishing contact with potential business partners, nurturing relationships with them, and supporting clients referred by these partners.

Moreover, your role encompasses overseeing all marketing aspects of the Affiliate channel at Pepperstone, with a specific emphasis on targeting the APAC Region. Your broad marketing experience will be crucial in addressing the various facets of this dynamic role. A significant aspect involves supporting Affiliate acquisition in APAC through diverse marketing channels and maintaining consistent engagement with our existing and new affiliates, as well as internal stakeholders.

Your success in this role will be measured by the revenue generated from the introduced business. Collaboration with the existing APAC Sales Team is essential to facilitate overall business growth. As the Business Development Executive - APAC, you play a pivotal role in expanding Pepperstone's presence in the region and contributing to the success of the APAC business unit.

As our Business Development Manager - APAC, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Actively searching for potential business partners, affiliates, and social influencers through online searches, attending offline industry events, and reaching out to them via calls, emails, and social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Lines, and WeChat.
  • Understanding offerings from competitors, enables us to provide competitive deals to potential partners.
  • Problem-solving client requests efficiently using your knowledge of our products, platform, and internal setup.
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Negotiating with internal stakeholders to ensure the best service for the client.
  • Using in-depth industry knowledge to develop new partners and affiliates, expand business, and convert partners.
  • Onboarding affiliates to Pepperstone, including setting up and providing access to tracking systems such as CellXpert, Impact, and AppsFlyer.
  • Collaborating with the Affiliate Manager to assess the quality of partner websites and referral programs.
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance, identifying optimization initiatives.
  • Supporting the assessment of new affiliate applications, ensuring alignment with the brand and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborating to keep our partners updated with changes to our product and service offerings.
  • Working with the Global Partners Manager and the Partners team to develop a localized Partners growth strategy for the MENA region and contributing to improvements in partner sales processes.
  • Providing support to new partners who have not yet referred their first client.
  • Contributing to Partner Sales reporting and communicating emerging trends, key partnerships, and new opportunities to the Global Partners Manager and the wider business.
  • Collaborating with the Partners team on competitor analysis to identify industry commission levels and new program features.

About you

  • 3+ years of experience or exposure to IB/affiliate marketing in the CFD industry.
  • Collaborative ability within teams, across functions, and offices.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English, and another language in the Asia Pacific Region.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Practical experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of affiliate and IB business, along with the CFD industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain B2B and broader stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • Effective interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • A highly motivated, flexible, positive individual with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Committed to ongoing learning and development.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage changing deadlines and work autonomously.
  • Familiarity with MetaTrader 4/5 and cTrader software will be highly regarded.
  • Exceptional relationships with business partners and valuable clients.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Superior understanding of financial markets and trading strategy.
  • Ability to manage the sales pipeline and meet multiple deadlines, including sales targets.
  • Open to continuous development and on-the-job training.
  • Current and appropriate working rights in Australia

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in speaking and writing in another non-English language.
