Full Time Motor Mechanic – Hoppers Crossing

Neotech Motor Mechanic requires a full-time mechanic for employment in our Hoppers Crossing workshop.

We require a full-time motor mechanic with the right attitude and skills with at least 2 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Cert IV qualification or equivalent in substantial experience. Salary of $70500 + 11% super for this full-time position.

You will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
Repair and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
Diagnosing faults and testing parts with the assistance of computers
Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts
Reassembling engines and parts following repair
Manage stock reordering and inventory as directed
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules , and regulations
Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with customers
Full adherence to regulations, relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.



Qualifications:

Minimum of a relevant Certificate IV or equivalent in substantial experience.



Experience Requirement:

At least 2 years of experience as a motor mechanic



Essential Skills and Requirements:

Demonstrated light vehicle repair, service and maintenance skills including a solid understanding of petrol, engines, suspension, transmission, steering and braking systems
Ability to read and interpret a broad range of vehicles service manuals
Ability to use computers for the purpose of diagnosing faults and testing vehicle parts
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Ability to prioritize workload to ensure customer and management deadlines are met
Excellent customer service skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical mechanical issues to a broad audience.
