You will work independently leading and creating social strategies that are in line with the agency’s social transformation belief and process. About the Role, and Why it is a GREAT Step for You!

Datacom operations are seeking an Operations Centre Engineer whose role is to monitor systems including Windows, UNIX, Database, Cloud and backups in real-time on a 24x7x365 rotational basis and able to troubleshoot/triage/resolve events or escalating to specialist’s teams for resolution. You will receive a standby allowance for when offshift and when called in to cover, all hours are considered overtime. There is a shift allowance of 12.5% on all working hours too so that standard pay is as uniform as possible, regardless of if you are day or night shift.

It is essentially just above an entry-level role, so don't let the title scare you off! We do still need people with IT experience - the role is perfect for those who have done service desk or desktop engineering work - but note that this is still an associate level position. It is seen as a transitionary role and a great stepping stone to get into higher level IT roles, as has happened with many of our staff since the teams' inception 4 years ago. After working in this role, you should be able to handle the business critical tasks and changes while you have time to focus on any certifications you are interested in. You can really showcase your skills ihere and be involved with the technologies that you want to be involved with, initially at a lower level but you can steadily increase your utilisation of other, higher technologies as you grow and develop.

Deliver impact in the sectors we target

• Sell Paper Giant’s work and value to prospective clients in business development meetings and pitches;
• Inform marketing activities to target specific clients and sectors that Paper Giant wants to work with;
• Identify opportunities that match Paper Giants expertise and purpose; and
• Propose ideas and methods for generating new business.

Lead responses that win

• Show clients we’re the right choice through high-quality return briefs and correspondence;
• Respond to specific client needs (opportunities, proposals, RFQs) in a timely fashion;
• Design projects which align Paper Giant’s skills, expertise and team availability to client needs in collaboration with practice teams; and
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to respond to client needs (proposals, RFQs), bringing in expertise and resources from across the studio as required.

Improve business development processes and systems

• With the Resourcing and Operations Lead, find opportunities to make Paper Giant’s business development process more efficient, consistent, reliable and effective;
• Lead internal projects to make changes that improve our business development systems and processes;
• Upskill other team members on effective business development; and
• Help us to design and build a positive, collaborative, inclusive studio culture.

Essential skills and experience

• 4+ years experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, with a focus on achieving revenue targets in an agency context;
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including pitching and proposal writing;
• Demonstrated experience in obtaining repeat business, managing client relationships, and identifying new high-value opportunities in desired sectors;
• Experience working in an agency or consulting environment;
• Familiar with human-centred design methodologies and mindsets;

As a Product Designer at Paper Giant, you will apply your design expertise to a diverse range of client problems. You will be a hands-on maker and work collaboratively with project team members to deliver high-quality work for clients in the government, not-for-profit, and private sectors. You’ll scope and define design approaches, prototype and design digital interfaces, and create pathways for change through effective design and storytelling.

You have in-depth knowledge and experience in visual and communication design in diverse contexts and mediums. Knowledge and experience in applying human-centred design methodologies to achieve design outcomes is essential.

What you will do:

Show impact through design practice

• Tackle design problems that range from well-defined to ambiguous
• Solve client problems by applying a variety of design and creative approaches
• Use conceptual thinking to respond to user and client needs
• Use sketching, wireframing and prototyping to communicate and test possible futures for products, services, and physical/digital touchpoints
