Task & Responsibilities Ensuring objectives and standards of care are met in providing dedicated and professional services across our Community, Acute and Aged Care settings, the core responsibilities of this role will include: Providing comprehensive, accountable and high-quality nursing care in accordance with the relevant legislation, professional and ethical frameworks, our Code of Conduct and values. Providing interventions, treatments and therapies such as administering medications, and monitoring responses to treatments and care plans. Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients according to accepted nursing practice and standards Working in consultation with other Health Professionals and members of health teams, and coordinating the care of patients Supervising and coordinating the work of Enrolled Nurses and other health care workers. Collaboration with the services multidisciplinary team and other providers to achieve best health outcomes for our consumers (including comprehensive clinical handovers using the appropriate frameworks). Ensuring all consumers, their families, visitors and colleagues are treated with respect and dignity. Listening to and collaborating with our consumers to understand their personal experienced to provide flexible care that complements their unique characteristics and supports them to live their best life. Supporting our consumers to understand and learn about their health and involve consumers and their advocates in their healthcare decisions. Facilitating and encouraging social connections between consumers and their health care team and families. Identifying risks and reporting incidents relating to the service environment, equipment, training, processes, practices or any aspect of delivery of care. Managing clinical risks such as hydration, nutrition, pain, pressure, wound and delirium. Appropriately responding to clinical changes or deterioration in the consumer’s condition and initiate consultation with relevant caregivers as required. Promoting health and assisting in health education activities for the prevention of ill health. Qualification & Experience A relevant Bachelors’ Degree or higher. Demonstrable experience in all responsibilities shown above. Current AHPRA Registration. Demonstrated ability to provide nursing care to individuals within a range of clinical settings and utilising contemporary clinical practices. Significant experience in a supervisory capacity Experience in successfully coordinating work priorities for yourself and others. An understanding of clinical risk and strategies to minimise and manage clinical risk factors. Excellent communication skills to liaise with consumers, families and colleagues. Ability to work well within a team environment, interacting respectfully at all times. Intermediate computer skills – experience using Manad preferred. A passion for healthcare!
