ACPL Rollers & Parts Rubber Roll Builder WANTED FULL TIME ACPL Rollers and Parts Pty Ltd has been producing rollers since the 1980's. The business is experiencing strong growth and require additional staff. We are currently seeking a rubber roll builder to assist with rubber roller manufacturing based in Bayswater, Victoria The role is to work in production, Reports to: Production Manager Experience in rubber processing essential. Experience in rubber roll building preferred, but willing to train the right person. Summary: Prepares rubber compound for Mixing, produces sheets and builds rubber rollers using a variety of equipment and techniques Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Weigh and calculate the amount of rubber and accelerators per batch. • Mixes Rubber as per procedures • Builds rollers using roll builders and strip builder. Account for rubber compound stocks and usage. Maintain temperatures in Warm Room and Cool room and associated Equipment • When required raises Sales Orders and Manufacturing Orders and associated packing labels. • Assist with the despatch of Interstate Freight – assemble and pack rollers into boxes, Packing Crates, Raising Packing Slips and booking in Freight • Checks all Sales Orders and Manufacturing Orders to ensure they accurate prior to stripping. • Disassemble and or inspect incoming rollers confirming acceptance of Journal Ends, bearings and internal oscillating mechanisms • Clean tag and store oscillating rollers in accordance with procedures. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment. • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. • Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement. • Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to. Experience in rubber processing essential. Experience in rubber roll building preferred, but willing to train the right person. Physically fit to perform all duties including standing for long periods of time and performing repetitive tasks. Attention to detail and ability to follow work procedures. Good mechanical aptitude Basic computer skills Good level of communication and people skills Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Tasks & responsibilities Must be available for a spread of hours between 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday & 7am to 1pm Friday (actual shifts are approximately 8 hours) Flexible start & finish times. Must be punctuality and reliable attendance. Have an analytical approach to problem solving as issues arise. Must have own transport.
