As a casual Chef with Cruise Sydney, you will be in charge of the kitchen on your rostered shifts, responsible for end-to-end kitchen operations for our lunch cruises, dinner cruises and private charters, which seat up to 80 guests on a set menu.

Reporting to our Executive Chef you will be responsible the preparation, presentation and display of all menu items. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment and equipment. As a leader in our Kitchen you will be expected to develop and coach our junior chefs, and provide them with learning opportunities and access to your experience and knowledge. As our Chef de Partie you will also have the opportunity to work alongside our Executive and Sous Chef on menu development and creation.

A Commis Chef role where you will receive training, support and development from chefs with worldwide experience, but local passion. All of the kitchen roles at Mercure Melbourne Doncaster will be consultative in an environment that encourages team engagement.
