Bricklayers

For this role, applicants must have at least 3 years' experience in Bricklaying and hold a construction white card. Applicants must also have a driver's licence and their own reliable transport.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Ability to study drawings and specifications to determine materials required
- Dimensions and installations procedures
- Cutting various masonry blocks
- Installation of flashing and damp roofing at various stages of construction
- Setting out of brick and block work to a professional quality in a timely and efficient manner

The successful applicant will be offered a salary between $75,000 - $90,000.

Carpenters

Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience as a Formwork Carpenter, a valid white card, and the ability to commute to and from site.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up formwork for concrete pours and slabs
- Working safely from ladders and scaffolding
- General site housekeeping duties

The successful applicant will be offered $38 - $42 per hour dependant on experience. We guarantee 40 hours per week in addition to overtime options.

Solid Plasterers

Applicants must have at least 5 years' experience in the role, and hold a trade qualification. Applicants must also hold a valid white card, driver's licence, and a reliable vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness
- Fixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings
- Providing a variety of rendering services to clients including internal, external and finishes
- Creating decorative textures in finishing coats
- Applying and finishing acoustic, insulating and fireproofing materials
- Interpreting technical drawings

The successful applicant will be offered $38 - $42 per hour + superannuation. We guarantee 40 hours per week in addition to overtime options.

Construction Project Managers

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Contracts Management role or similar in the construction industry. You must also have experience with estimating and in all stages of project management, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations management, completion and closeout.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for contract and tender submissions and bids
- Prepare, negotiate, and finalise subcontracts and supply agreements with required timeframe and budget
- Managing submission of plans to local authorities and liasing with stakeholders to undertake relevant inspections throughout the project
- Issuing notices of delay, extensions of time, subcontracts and/or supplier agreements required for the project and maintain relevant registers
- Negotiation and relationship management with suppliers and subcontractors
- Responsibility for project budget tracking and performance, quality, costs and risk
- Process and recommend invoices and progress claims for work completed and refer disputed claims by subcontractors to the relevant manager for decision
- Effectively manager subcontracts through all phases, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and close out
- Establishing and managing project claims to ensure alignment with program strategic goals and project outcomes

A salary between $90,000 - $130,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.

Working in a culturally diverse environment, providing a contemporary, evidence-based speech pathology service, including assessment, treatment planning and evaluation, for people presenting with a wide range of conditions and syndromes, with a focus on dysphagia and swallowing disorders
Working with clients and their representatives to identify individualised goals and preferences, developing dysphagia, mealtime management, and/or communication plans
Selecting, developing, and tailoring augmentative and alternative communication systems, programs and resources for participants with communication needs 
Leading and contributing to the development of individual and group programs within Carpentaria Therapy Service areas


 

About you

This position is open to candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment. We are looking for someone with experience in the delivery of speech pathology services within a disability sector context, with a focus on dysphagia and swallowing disorders, and the ability to develop individualised strategies and clinical management plans that are responsive to the person’s needs and in line with their goals.

About you

This position is open to candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment. We are looking for someone with experience in the delivery of Occupational Therapy services within a disability sector context, with the ability to develop individualised strategies and clinical management plans that are responsive to the person’s needs and in line with their goals.

You will have a positive attitude and be adaptive and flexible to the changing needs of clients, NDIS and the organisation. Throughout your work you will build on strengths, and where challenges arise, you will approach them collaboratively, in partnership with families, carers, teachers and colleagues.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:


Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
