We are looking for an ambitious and passionate business development associate to develop a strong customer portfolio in our critical early markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, growing, and maintaining our sales pipeline in the resources sector and managing the sales process from end-to-end. While this role is customer facing it engages with all parts of the business, from operations to survey teams and technical staff.

Your role:

Embedded in the business development team and under the broad direction of the Head of Business Development you will:

•         Research and map-out potential stakeholders and customers in the resources sector

•         Creatively generate new leads through desktop research, conferences, social media, or other tools

•         Engage with potential customers and partners to understand their needs and explore engagement opportunities

•         Assist with preparation for client presentations

•         Assist in the preparation of tenders, project proposals and capability statements

•         Work closely with our engineering and product development teams to help translate customer needs into product requirements

•         Assist in enhancing messaging and product positioning based on client feedback

•         Develop and maintain outward focused communication and marketing materials for the company and its technologies

The Opportunity 

Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Relationship Management (Australia), the individual will team up with the Relationship Management and Sales teams, to support the execution of strategic initiatives (increased visibility, on campus meetings, orientations) and tactics (proactive/preemptive defense) designed to increase payer growth. He/she will help increase revenue by uncovering new business with existing clients, improving client retention, identifying opportunities for product improvement, providing accurate and timely issue resolution and assuring clients promote the Flywire Payment Solution.

• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to drive and support revenue/payer/money moved growth initiatives, activities and objectives
• Initiate, build, and maintain relationships with student facing points of contact
• Implement account plans to maximize utilization, growth and revenue
• Present products and services to clients in an informative, educational, and consultative manner
• Appropriate attention to escalations
• Organize marketing materials
• Share/recommend/support potential new opportunities
• Accurate updates to CRM for timely availability of information

To work with the Head of External Affairs in the development and delivery of annual plans and initiatives.

Collaborate with Head of External Affairs in implementing the ANZ corporate and internal communication strategies for broad stakeholder engagement to raise a positive profile of Biogen and support engagement of employees. Manage projects that cultivate alliances, partnership opportunities and advocacy in response to patient needs. Work to develop insight-led programs that bring about change.

 Corporate Communications

• Provide support for external-facing stakeholder engagement; event management, correspondence, filing, pitch processes, supplier/agency management
• Research and analysis on specific topics to aid in planning delivery
• Manage strategic corporate profile-raising initiatives and campaigns including research and sourcing of appropriate partners
• Manage ANZ LinkedIn presence - strategic content development; employee engagement; training;
• Assist with media management; relationship building; strategic engagement; triaging of media enquiries; issues management
• Manage content and updates for Biogen ANZ websites
• Manage and guide teams on the company’s role and use of social media
• Act as an ambassador for Biogen and the External Affairs function/work
• Adhere to all Medicines Australia, compliance and financial SOPs with support from Legal Counsel
• Potentially liaise with international colleagues with Corporate, Public and Government Affairs

 Internal Communications

• Support the development of annual strategic internal communication plans and content
• Coordination of proactive communication such as town halls, regular leadership communication etc.
• Preparation of communications content in a variety of formats (writing and editing skills essential) and ensure all items have been through appropriate approval processes
• Management of internal communication channels such as the intranet (SYNAPSE) and others to be developed

Product Communications

• Participate in cross-functional working groups as appropriate
• Provide communications advice to product teams as necessary

Role Overview:

As a Graduate Human Resources Officer, you will play a fundamental role in supporting various HR functions within The Yiros Shop. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the team, contributing to the implementation of HR policies and practices while gaining hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines.
