Senior Associate, Corporate Communications

To work with the Head of External Affairs in the development and delivery of annual plans and initiatives.

Collaborate with Head of External Affairs in implementing the ANZ corporate and internal communication strategies for broad stakeholder engagement to raise a positive profile of Biogen and support engagement of employees. Manage projects that cultivate alliances, partnership opportunities and advocacy in response to patient needs. Work to develop insight-led programs that bring about change.

 Corporate Communications

  • Provide support for external-facing stakeholder engagement; event management, correspondence, filing, pitch processes, supplier/agency management
  • Research and analysis on specific topics to aid in planning delivery
  • Manage strategic corporate profile-raising initiatives and campaigns including research and sourcing of appropriate partners
  • Manage ANZ LinkedIn presence - strategic content development; employee engagement; training;
  • Assist with media management; relationship building; strategic engagement; triaging of media enquiries; issues management
  • Manage content and updates for Biogen ANZ websites
  • Manage and guide teams on the company’s role and use of social media
  • Act as an ambassador for Biogen and the External Affairs function/work
  • Adhere to all Medicines Australia, compliance and financial SOPs with support from Legal Counsel
  • Potentially liaise with international colleagues with Corporate, Public and Government Affairs

 Internal Communications

  • Support the development of annual strategic internal communication plans and content
  • Coordination of proactive communication such as town halls, regular leadership communication etc.
  • Preparation of communications content in a variety of formats (writing and editing skills essential) and ensure all items have been through appropriate approval processes
  • Management of internal communication channels such as the intranet (SYNAPSE) and others to be developed

Product Communications

  • Participate in cross-functional working groups as appropriate
  • Provide communications advice to product teams as necessary
