We are seeking a Casual Commis/Cook Chef to join the dynamic and professional team. Reporting directly to the the Brewery Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the support of the operation of the Brewery kitchen. 

If you enjoy variety in your day and are passionate about food preparation and presentation - then this is a role for you! 

Essential duties for the role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare mis-en- place for all relevant menus
• Assist with ordering necessary food items accordingly to business needs and demands
• Comply with all WHS, food safety legislation
• Work with and coordinate with other chefs in the preparation and production of food as required
• Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned
• Report any maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
• Awareness departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good work relationships

As the Head Cook, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen quality standards are always complied with. You will be supporting recruitment, training, and development of all kitchen crew, supporting the restaurant manager with Cost of Goods and ensuring all food safety and WH&S policies and procedures are adhered to.

We appreciate experience comes in many shapes and sizes, what we mean specifically is;

• Experience in a kitchen / cooking role within a busy hospitality environment
• Experience leading and developing a team
• Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent experience
• Good understanding of food safety concerns
