The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Metal Coated Department at our Springhill Manufacturing facility as a Process and Product Leader. As part of the broader Manufacturing Portfolio, we have facilities including Springhill that deliver variety of coated products, innovative solutions and services to our domestic and export customers.
The Metal Coating Department manufactures and supplies metal coated products for building, pre-painted and distribution and manufacturing applications. As an integral member of the Shift Management Team, you’ll provide technical support to the production lines and services within the department. You will ensure customer expectations are achieved by monitoring product quality and output on shift. In the absence of the Shift Team Leader, you will also be responsible for leading the shift operations team.
This position works a 12-hour shift, 4 on (2 days/2 nights), 4 off roster. Shift start and finish times are 6am – 6pm. What Will You Do?
Working collaboratively with shift operators and other Process Leaders, you will:
- ensure safety standards are never compromised making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified
- ensure product quality and compliance standards are met and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- train and enhance operator understanding of process and product
- maintain asset performance and collaborate with team members to improve equipment performance, capability and costs
- coordinate development strategies for improved process control
- manage non-conforming product for re-classing
