• Manage and maintain a receipt, storage, maintenance, and distribution capability

• Manage the operation and maintenance of Government Furnished Equipment and Thales equipment

• Apply and manage the Safety Management System to ensure a safe working environment

• Assist the Regional Manager in maintaining and developing effective organisational systems and procedures, with the aim of continuously improving depot efficiency and effectiveness

• Liaise and communicate with customers to understand requirements, improve service levels, and identify opportunities for enhancement

• Ensure operations comply with the regulatory requirements of Commonwealth and State authorities

• Develop a stocking and resupply program and associated items

• Ensure compliance with security requirements for operations, following Controls and company policies

• Management of staff performance under the direction of the Regional Manager

How About You?

• Diploma level (or higher) in logistics or a relevant business or equivalent experience

• Previous experience within a similar role with demonstrated knowledge of the logistics and warehouse industry

• Good oral and written communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of the organisation

• Experience within the Defence, warehousing and/or logistics management would be highly advantageous

This is a full-time position rostered 7 days on 7 days off - 9.5 hours per shift.

We are seeking local applicants doing drive in and drive out from Mackay/ Moranbah or surrounding areas. 

Who are we looking for?

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will supervise a small size crew, schedule works and audit check to ensure quality and compliance to the highest standards. Your job will involve detailed cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning of kitchen and toilets. You will conduct all duties using appropriate cleaning methods, following cleaning policies and procedures and be able to complete them with in allocate time frames. You will be required to respond in a timely manner to any adhoc cleaning request that require urgent attention. 

The team focus will be to clean various rooms, amenities, and offices, collect and dispose of rubbish, maintenance of all cleaning equipment and chemicals and products are used and stored safely. 

To be successful, you’ll need:    

• Current open Driver's Licence is essential
• Supervisory experience within a mine site/village, hotel or resort preferably within a remote site environment
• Demonstrate effective leadership skills and techniques to motivate and manage employees
• Strong work ethic with a focus on providing outstanding service in order to meet contract obligations
• High level of knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace and chemical handling
• Provide prompt and professional service when dealing with all stakeholders
• Excellent customer service and able to drive a high standard within the team to ensure that the services are carried out to the client’s standards
• Time management skills, you must be be organised and possess a mature and professional approach especially during times of pressure

As a Senior Consultant (Systems Engineer) within the Egis Advisory business, you will be responsible for providing consultancy, design and engineering solutions, as well as policy and strategy evaluation for Defence projects. You are responsible for cleaning of crib rooms, mine site offices, walkways, toilet/ablution blocks, rubbish removal, refilling amenities, and daily mine site vehicle pre-start inspections and safety checks. You will conduct all duties using appropriate cleaning methods, following cleaning policies and procedures and be able to complete them with in allocate time frames. You will be required to respond in a timely manner to any adhoc cleaning request that require urgent attention. Time management will be key to this role as you will be allocated specific areas / duties to complete on your allocated shift. To be successful, you’ll need:   

• Australian Citizenship, or full Australian working rights  
• Able to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing  and police check  
• Open manual driver's licence is required
