Team Summary
This role based in Sydney reports to the Senior Director, Client Marketing and is a key member of the Visa marketing team - a high-performing team responsible for our brand health and delivering best in class consumer, B2B, client and merchant marketing to drive business growth across Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific (AuNZSP).
The Marketing Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating the planning and delivery of marketing activities for a number of our key clients and merchant partners in Australia. Responsibilities include project managing campaigns, liaising with agency partners and internal stakeholders, supporting the marketing team on the design, implementation and optimisation of acquisition, usage and engagement programs for our client’s Retail and Business bank customer’s Everyday Banking Accounts, transaction accounts and credit card portfolios. For merchant partners, the role is responsible for assisting with the execution of partnership activations and campaigns. The remit includes full funnel marketing campaign execution from product awareness, consideration, new-to-bank (NTB) acquisition through to onboarding, retention, portfolio and engagement initiatives.
What a Marketing Coordinator does at Visa
- Contributes to the planning of an annual marketing calendar for each of our clients and merchants
- Contributes to the development of integrated marketing campaign plans for our client marketing projects
- Coordinates and executes seamlessly the creative and content development of campaigns. Works with agency partners to develop and execute high quality campaigns that are on time and on budget
- Project management of marketing programs to ensure we exceed client expectations with our execution and delivery
- Liaises with marketing team members on campaign components including merchant marketing, creative, media and sponsorships
- Assists with project financial processes and budget
- Monitors results and delivers optimisation recommendations to increase the effectiveness of campaigns
- Contributes to the post implementation report for each client campaign/project reporting on performance, learnings and actions
- Engages with the marketing team and client account executives to keep them up to date on client activities and resolve any queries.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
