We’re looking for our first dedicated Engineering Manager to help lead teams in pursuit of our ambitious product roadmap. The role
This a critical role in which you'll make an impact on both the code base as well as from the perspective of people management. Your experiences will allow you to make contributions as an individual contributor while also leading, managing and guiding junior engineers as an engineering stakeholder.

The role sits within our product development team, and you’ll report to Michael Shaw, our CTO. You'll work closely with the engineering team, the executive and members of other departments to align engineering with other critical business functions. Your work will provide additional structure and certainty to the development process and relieve the Executive member of the engineering team of people management functions, allowing them to focus on both executive and development duties.

What you'll do
- Lead, coordinate and align diverse engineering functions

Experience as an Engineering Manager in a fast-paced technology, product or creative company.
You’ll have had experience in engineering at a senior level and/or people management experience in a tech or start-up environment. Your work will draw the best out of each individual contributor in a way which promotes both individual success and engagement as well as team productivity.

Deep hands-on engineering experience in relation to UI work or development of custom, in-house rendering technology.
Your breadth of experience and depth of technical foundations give you a creative and strategic approach to product development and the ability to respond effectively to unique and challenging technical problems. Your experience could be in low-level engine/rendering development or UI/UX work closer to the user.

In 1-3 months, you will...
- Familiarise yourself with our team structure and workflows
- Complete the Procreate onboarding process and get to know your colleagues
- Build an understanding of our product development practices, processes and frameworks
- Begin to develop relationships with key stakeholders, team leaders and members of the executive team

In 3-6 months, you will...

Reporting to the PMO Director, the objective of this position is to support the PMO Team across all markets. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator supports the Project Management Office with the planning and fit out of TOMRA Reverse Vending Bulk Depots (RVBD) in NSW, to ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met.  

The Project Coordinator is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating project documentation, monitoring project progress and co-ordinating communications to the wider project team. This position will play a key role in assessing proposed sites for safety, functionality and certifying that they meet the correct site requirements for business needs and for building certification – working with architects and external consultants.  

A key element of this role is stakeholder management, including, liaising with vendors, contractors, local councils, consultants, and internal stakeholders within the Operations department. The Project Coordinator will also assist the Project Manager by providing on the ground support with the progression of projects and mobilisation of installations. 

This is a fixed term contract role until Feburary 2025

Some other duties the Project Coordinator may perform:

• Work with the Project Manager and Property Agents to ensure Site Assessment Reports are circulated and reviewed in a timely manner, collating and actioning feedback received from the wider team

Reporting to the NSW Project Manager, the Project Manager (Retail) will be responsible for managing the acquisition, design, construction and delivery of new sites to the business.
