The Opportunity
Our Maritime Account seeks an energetic and motivated Graduate Engineer to join their team. As the Graduate Engineer, you will be responsible for driving your own development and experience in an Engineering Rotation Program as directed by your line manager.
During your engineering rotation, you will have the opportunity to support various line managers in the delivery of engineering assurance functions. You will develop skills in Asset Management including System Safety, Certification Basis, Engineering, Logistics Support and Configuration Management.
You will be exposed to various engineering and technical issues related to HMA Ship’s, landing craft and shore support facilities. You will report to the Engineering Assurance Manager and your direct line Manager is the Platform Systems Lead.
Responsibilities
- Every 6 months rotate to various engineering functions including but not limited to Systems Safety, Certification and Platform Engineering while reporting to the functional manager to establish experience and develop skills in Maritime Seaworthiness and Assurance.
- Under direction, perform activities related to engineering function and contribute to engineering assurance outcomes and deliverables.
- Under direction, conduct investigations and relating to platform system assets, including the verification and validation of technical data.
- Under direction, work within a multidisciplinary team to develop design requirements and solutions in the context of engineering change management and configuration management.
- Participate in design reviews, verification and validation activities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline or Naval Architecture.
- Eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) clearance on relevant ship systems.
Desirable:
- Experience in Defence Industry.
- Previous Engineering experience.
- AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
