THE COMPANY This large and well-known global Professional Services firm employs 700+ staff in multiple offices across Australia, and more than 70+ offices around the globe. THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Infrastructure Engineer working in a team and role responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and support of the firm's internal enterprise infrastructure. Responsibilities include: • Build, manage & L3 support the firms internal private data centre & public cloud infrastructure + the virtual desktop environment - Wintel, MS SQL Server, VMware vSphere, Azure & AAD, storage. • Implement, manage, and support network infrastructure - routers, switches, firewalls, WIFI, SD-WAN, IP Telephony. • Infrastructure monitoring, incident management, resolution, and root causes analysis. • Handle escalations from the Service Desk. • Involvement in InfoSec maintenance and uplift initiatives. • Creation of up-to-date documentation. • Manage and deliver IT Infrastructure projects including DC decommissioning and migration to Azure; Teams telephony implementation, MDM migration to Intune etc. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE Suitable for an L3 Infrastructure Engineer with a 'generalist' background across network systems infrastructure inside enterprise environments. The following is required: • Proven experience as a 'generalist' L3 Infrastructure Engineer - building, managing & supporting complex enterprise environments. • Strong exp with Windows Server (AD, GP, DFS, DNS/DHCP); Exchange, virtualized desktop systems, and virtualisation (VMware) • Strong networking experience - Cisco routing/switching; firewalls, IP Telephony. • Experience with SCCM/Intune and Microsoft desktop systems. • MS SQL Server experience is beneficial. • Azure + Azure AD are beneficial. • Proven exp delivering IT Infrastructure projects. • Relevant certifications - e.g. CCNA/CCNP, VCP etc. • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. • Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Team player who enjoys knowledge sharing. • Professional presentation and able to deliver complex IT concepts into easy-to-understand language. This is a full-time permanent role with hybrid working offering circa $140,000 - $150,000 (plus super) - depending on experience.
