Your New Role

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Digital Engagement within the Customer Experience function, the Community Manager is responsible for building, engaging, and maintaining the online community around the Employment Hero platform. The communities will include both our business and end users.  The Community Manager will drive discussions, interactions, and ensure a positive and helpful environment for all users. 

The key focus for the role is to manage the execution of a successful community, driving engagement and ensuring  user questions are addressed, concerns and issues are resolved and both value realisation and customer satisfaction is high amongst members. In addition, this role will set the frameworks and processes to moderate user-generated content, enforce community guidelines and maintain a safe online space. 

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to grow and nurture our first online user community as a proof of concept and subsequently build out all wider user communities across Employment Hero user types and regions. 
• Initially moderate user-generated content and discussions (with subject matter support), ensuring adherence to community guidelines and maintaining a respectful and safe environment; subsequently building out the capability required to operate our communications in a customer centric and operationally efficient way. 
• Set up and drive engagement with users through appropriate channels to answer questions, provide assistance, and facilitate meaningful interactions including the set up of peer to peer servicing communities.
• Plan and coordinate community events, webinars, and user-focused initiatives to drive engagement and collaboration, leveraging and aligning with our Marketing Function’s delivery of the same. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather user feedback, identify pain points, and advocate for user needs and preferences.
• Design and own the metrics to measure community value and performance, monitoring and reporting on engagement metrics and value to continually improve the community strategy. 
• Work with our Marketing function to ensure we have a calendar of relevant and engaging content such as blog posts, articles, and resources, to provide value to the community.
• Act as the voice of customers between the community and internal teams, communicating user feedback, suggestions, and concerns effectively.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation within the community space.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in community management, social media management, customer success or related roles preferably within the SaaS or technology sector.
• Proven track record of developing and launching a proof of concept and scaling proven concepts to thriving  business as usual channels and experiences, growing and engaging online communities and using analytics to track engagement and measure impact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with users effectively, develop and execute strategic community engagement plans.
• Experience in project and/or change management. 
• Previous experience in customer support or advocacy roles is an advantage.
• Previous team leadership is an advantage.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Incident Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Incidents are carefully managed. This includes collaboration and coordination across technical teams to ensure customer expectations are met, and information needs of decision makers are achieved. The role is outcome oriented and requires engagement with other process managers such as Event and Problem to ensure early identification and reduced likelihood of repeat incidents.

You will work closely with technical specialists across several technologies in a multi-vendor environment. Additionally, you will have responsibility for identification of improvement opportunities, including maintenance and improvement of Incident Management, policies, processes, and procedures, with a focus on continual service improvement.

We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone who is proficient in leading efficient resolution of incidents using process to solve technical issues and develop a strong cross-functional team cooperation. You will need excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, ITIL Foundation accreditation and a solid understanding of IT Service Management. You will have demonstratable experience as an Incident Manager in large and complex IT and business environments, preferably within managed services.

The following will be highly desirable:

• Extensive years of experience in the IT industry or bachelor's degree in IT
• Minimum ITIL v4 Foundation accreditation
• Current or recent experience in major incident management role
• Excellent communication & time management skills
• Meticulous attention to detail

As part of the role, you will provide quality customer service in performing the CMDB tasks which include CI to CI and Service to CI relationship mapping.

The Occupier Services business provides end to end property services for corporate occupiers. Services range from managing lease terms and expiries for entire property portfolios, to disposing redundant assets, new site selection and acquisition, tenant advisory, workplace strategy, design & architecture, project management, technology services, and six-star concierge and workplace services.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Portfolio Manager in a fixed term contract capacity, where you will be responsible for the account and transaction management of a major industrial property portfolio.

• Negotiation of all lease requirements for the client, renewal of leases, lease surrenders and make goods.

The Asia Pacific Fulfillment Operations Manager will support Block Logistics and Fulfillment efforts in Australia & Japan. As part of the Hardware Logistics team, you will play an essential role in our mission to bring Block products to our customers in a fast, reliable, economical and elegant fashion. You will determine best practices, collaborate on growth plans across the supply chain and company, support the implementation, and manage Block's fulfillment and delivery operations for all products. You will also oversee vendor and supplier partnerships and manage performance within Block's international supply chain.

We're looking for a dynamic, process-oriented operations leader who has a passion for new solutions and scalable systems. Because the majority of the team is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, some morning working hours will overlap with Pacific Standard Time.

You Will:

• Manage and improve the logistics [inbound, fulfillment and outbound] network for Block's Asia Pacific markets
• Oversee supplier partnerships and manage performance
• Work with internal partners to guide the development of essential and new fulfillment programs.

You will be responsible for helping recruitment agencies get the most from Messly, supporting them from the sales process through their lifecycle as a customer.

Using your recruitment background, you will become a trusted advisor to our clients, building close relationships

Specifically, your role will focus on:

Onboarding and Training: Train new recruiters how to use Messly, giving product demos and tutorials. You’ll become an expert in Messly, with an in-depth knowledge of the product features and capabilities, coaching them on how to utilise the product fully. When we release new features, you’ll help coach them on how to use these.

Regular Check-ins: Offer regular status meetings with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback. We are proactive in reaching out to clients, not waiting for them to report issues. If clients are having issues, or we notice that they’re not using the product property, you would work to fix these issues.

Account Reviews: Use our data dashboards to understand if Messly is being used to its full potential, and suggest ways for agencies to get more value from us. Where issues are identified, we will create action plans to help solve these.

Process Development: You’ll own the processes and documentation around your role, and ensure these are continually maintained.

In addition, you will help with:

Sales support: Supporting the CEO through the sales process, including outreach to potential agencies, and follow-ups through the sales process.

Feedback: Share feedback from agencies with the product team, and contribute ideas for how to improve our service based on their feedback and the data you can see.

Ops: You will manage and run occasional operational processes, such as generating reporting and customer reporting, working with our ops team.

A Typical Day

Messly is small, fast-growing company so each day is different. But if they was a ‘typical\ day, it might include:

• Joining a sales call with a prospective client to understand if Messly is a fit for them, and following up with a proposal and some pricing
• Running a training session for recruiters from a new client. That might be in their offices or on a video call. You’d give them a demo of the key features, and help them to set up their accounts on Messly.
• In between, you might pick up a few questions in your inbox from recruiters who have a question about using Messly, or call up a recruiter who you can see is struggling to have success on Messly
• Finally, ahead of the team meeting the next day you’ll spend an hour reviewing your action plan for an agency that’s struggling, collate some product feedback and prepare some data and charts for discussion with the team.

Working At Messly

You'll be our first hire in Australia, and a key part of the initial team. One of the founders is relocating to live in Sydney to run the Australian business, and you will be working closely with him on a day-day basis. The other founder will travel to Australia also as needed.

We will ensure you feel part of the wider team in the UK, as feeling part of a team is really important to everyone here. You’ll get to meet us on weekly team meetings on Zoom and you’ll be interacting with the UK every day via Slack too.

Messly is a fully remote company and has no fixed office, and this will not change in future. Part of your role will involve visiting client offices to run training or other meetings. We expect this to be around 2-3 times per month.

We’ll help to support getting you setup at home if you haven’t worked remotely before including any computer equipment you need. You'll receive in-person training when you start, to give you the ins and outs of the company and meet the team you’ll be working with. The Square Credit Risk team assesses and manages potential loan and chargeback risk for sellers processing on Square, and helps onboard new accounts in partnership with our Sales team. We promote the growth of our sellers through in-depth financial analysis, understanding of business models, novel risk tools and approaches, and principled risk-taking. • Manage a team <5 of Credit Risk Analysts and Underwriters responsible for managing loan and chargeback risk in our seller base

What can you expect?

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced tax professional to join Marsh McLennan (MMC) as a Tax Manager in Sydney or Melbourne. You will be a member of MMC’s Asia Pacific Tax team, reporting to the Regional Tax Lead, Pacific, based in Sydney. Working closely with MMC Tax colleagues in and outside the Asia Pacific region, you will be responsible for assisting with tax matters across all of MMC’s business activities in the Pacific region (Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and other relevant territories), including providing advice on application of direct and indirect taxes, revenue authority reviews/audits, key projects, and merger and acquisition transactions. 

Whilst this role will not include direct involvement in various tax filing requirements, you will be required to assist with reviewing tax reporting and compliance. You will also assist with risk control procedures as well as partnering closely with other MMC stakeholders to make desirable enhancements to the upskilling of the tax reporting and compliance capabilities embedded within the Controllership and wider business team.

We will count on you to:

• Provide tax advisory support and direction to various MMC colleagues on general tax matters in the Pacific region.

• Identify risks and opportunities, as well as plan, design and manage tax projects to contribute to the management of MMC’s effective tax rate and tax compliance requirements.  This would include working with relevant business functions across the Pacific region to ensure supportable tax positions for business transactions, reviewing permanent establishment exposures, withholding tax consequences, etc.

• Provide analysis and recommendations of tax positions, and effectively engage with key stakeholders in and outside the MMC Tax team to ensure communication and understanding of such matters. This includes supporting (where applicable) MMC’s tax filing positions, providing guidance on tax law changes, and tax implications for MMC’s M&A activities, restructuring initiatives, treasury funding issues, dividend flows, equity investment/capitalization issues, etc.

• Work closely with the business areas to provide tax guidance and support on corporate income tax, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and legal entity structures, developing a tax culture with the business and other functional areas (finance and non-finance).

• Support the quarterly and year-end group tax reporting processes for the Pacific MMC entities. Review the quarterly US GAAP income tax provisions prepared by Controllership which are reported to MMC Tax in the USA. Review and contribute to the determination of provisioning of open tax issues based on submissions made by Controllership.

• Review the tax returns and tax summary memorandums of the key Pacific MMC entities produced by Controllership and outsourced service providers in order to support the Controllership in determining appropriate tax filing positions, as well as to identify tax risks and opportunities.

• Manage regional tax reviews, audits and dispute resolution initiatives in conjunction with wider Finance group.

• Work in conjunction with MMC’s global Transfer Pricing team to manage transfer pricing analysis of all intercompany transactions from a tax perspective and characterisation of services for tax purposes.

• Maintain a current awareness of local tax legislation and case law that would impact the company's operations and establish proactive plans accordingly, for both cash and financial tax reporting purposes.

• Provide appropriate levels of tax training to MMC colleagues, when required.

What you need to have: 

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related degree.

• 5-8 years of relevant tax experience (covering direct tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing), ideally gained from a public accounting practice and/or in-house tax positions.

• A proven track record of working on tax issues in the Pacific region. 

• An understanding of US tax principles and US GAAP will be advantageous. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, managing multiple stakeholders.

• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.

• Ability to prioritise competing tasks.
