Off the back of continued business growth, we are currently on the lookout for a gun Account Director to join our team.
The transformation you will experience
This is an incredible opportunity for an account service leader to lead communications planning for a diverse patch of clients, working across both brand and performance campaigns and guiding cross functional teams to success. As one of two Directors reporting into the Business Director, you will be responsible for client delivery, producing best-in-class strategic and planning work from top down, connecting the dots from both an offline and online channel perspective and providing strong insights. You will have the platform to exercise your leadership and coaching skills, looking after 2-3 direct reports within the team.
We work with a cool mix of clients, diving into everything from a global social media network, to FMCG, travel, healthcare, entertainment, education and direct to consumer. These are not just clients; they are trendsetters. Big on shaking things up, they're all about driving innovation and giving new ideas a whirl. In this role, you'll serve as a genuine partner to these forward-thinking clients, providing you with the opportunity to elevate both your strategic and creative thinking whilst propelling their brands in the marketplace.
Your scope will include:
- Client, internal business and stakeholder management
- Translating comms strategy into comprehensive implementation recommendations across both offline and online channels which maximise return on investment
- Coordinating internal stakeholders of strategy, comms planning, innovation, investment and digital specialists on brief responses
- Defining key metrics for success for measuring and evaluating campaign performance, creating a framework for ongoing investment decision making
- Leading and mentoring a team including Account Managers, Executives and Coordinators
- Executing plans to enhance our agency planning product, driving growth revenue through specialist services and research initiatives
- Management of client finance including minimising account queries/aged debts
- Participating in new business initiatives and building the agency’s reputation externally in line with our positioning, beliefs and values
- Actively contributing and volunteering to participate in new business pitches
What you’re looking for

What type of person will be successful in this role
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience in media or marketing across various categories.
- A strong background in comms planning with a solid understanding of offline, online and emerging channels
- In depth knowledge of syndicated and proprietary tools
- Advanced knowledge of the Australian media landscape including digital
- A proven track record in leading teams and being a trusted advisor to clients
- Strong process management skills and perseverance with resolving ongoing issues
