Role Description/Criteria
We are currently seeking full-time, on-going staff members for Classroom positions.
Classroom teachers are responsible for implementing, modelling and supporting the values as articulated in the Lumen Christi Catholic Primary School Mission and Vision statements.
The responsibilities of the teaching staff at Lumen Christi Catholic Primary School draw on the seven areas which the Australian Institute for Teaching and School leadership (AITSL) has determined as the main attributes needed by the teaching Profession. These responsibilities pertain to:
Professional Knowledge
1. Know students and how they learn
2. Know the content and how to teach it
Professional Practice
3. Plan for and implement effective teaching and Learning
4. Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments
5. Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
Professional Engagement
6. Engage in Professional Learning
7. Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community

* Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Catholic School
* Possess expert knowledge and understanding of current thinking and research into curriculum, pedagogy, contemporary learning and the
Victorian Curriculum
* Have recognized expertise, and practical understanding of, differentiated learning including students with additional needs
* Be skilled in the use of Digital Technologies
* Have highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with all members of the school community
* Have a strong commitment to fostering team processes and an ability to support, lead and mobilize staff
* Hold current VIT Registration
* Hold Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School or be willing to undertake studies to complete this within a 5 year period.

? Demonstrate professional practice and behaviour according to the VIT Standards of Professional Practice, the Victorian Teaching Profession Code of Conduct and the AITSL Framework
? Have current VIT Registration
? Have accreditation to teach in a Catholic School or be willing to undertake studies to complete this within a 5 year period.
