Join our dynamic People and Culture team as a Human Resources Business Partner in a permanent full time capacity. This is a hybrid opportunity, working between our offices at Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney CBD and working from home. Reporting to the General Manager of People and Culture – SIXT Australia, you will support the SIXT business to drive successful People and Culture initiatives and strategic objectives. You will be key in ensuring collaboration across many teams facilitates tactical execution of business goals.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Supporting the successful delivery of people initiatives while collaborating with key stakeholders
• Playing a key role in managing and delivering cyclical People activities
• Utilising change management and project management skills to successfully implement key projects
• Actively gathering data and provide insights to stakeholders, identifying trends and themes to support People initiatives and measure their success
• Collaborating with Senior leadership to identify and design optimal business structures, capabilities and ways of working
• Developing appropriate action initiatives with the support of others
• Partnering with business stakeholders to actively identify and contribute to the development of P&C strategic initiatives to solve people problems and improve the overall employee experience.
• Under the leadership of the General Manager of People and Culture – SIXT Australia, collaborating with key business stakeholders to interpret business needs and people initiatives.
• Leading Cultural Transformation initiatives – Developing and implementing strategic programs to foster a positive, inclusive and innovative workplace culture.

Reporting into the People Services Team Leader, this role is dedicated to delivering first-rate support and administrative services to our employees based across Australia and New Zealand. 

You will join our tight-knit and high performing People Services team based in Melbourne on a 9 month Fixed Term contract. You will be focused on delivering support for a variety of Human Resources activities, with an emphasis on core people processes related to attraction, development and retention of employees, query resolution and policy advice.

What will a day in this role look like:

• Ensure accurate processing of people transactional services, focusing on domestic assignments and leave arrangements.
• Support the HR systems team with system enhancements.
• Collaborate with our Global Business Services team as well as the local People Services team to share knowledge and ensure a broader understanding of the function.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to our internal stakeholders.
• Effectively operate in accordance with governance, processes, policies, agreed performance targets and service level agreements.

• Lead, manage and promote people management practices to achieve success through excellent stakeholder relationships and continuous service improvement activities for the region including, but not limited to: 

• Coordinate, develop and implement HR solutions that address key workforce challenges.  

• Use HR knowledge to shape both strategic and operational advice to meet business needs.  

• Proactively develop and sustain relationships across the business to ensure comprehensive understanding of opportunities and challenges faced and people management development opportunities. 

• Support business units with succession planning.  

• Develop and lead best practice across end-to-end employee life cycle.
