How you will make an impact as a Mental Health Social Worker We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Social Worker to join our dynamic team focused on women's mental health. Your success in this role will be in your ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, demonstrate flexibility, and provide exceptional care across three service areas: inpatient, day program, and outpatient individual therapy. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated team in a safe environment, with structured support and supervision to ensure your professional growth and development. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to patient-centred care and contribute to our ongoing efforts to improve the mental health and well-being of the women we serve. Desirable criteria:
Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably within private mental health
Demonstrated experience in facilitating and leading group therapy sessions
Proficiency in various treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), ect.
Strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by women in the context of mental health
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum of 2 years experience in Mental Health setting
Eligibility for AASW membership, preferably with Mental Health accreditation
Experience in providing clinical/student supervision
To be considered for this role you will also hold:
Police Record Check.
Registration with relevant governing body.
