The Victorian Heart Hospital is Australia’s first state-of-the-art, specialist cardiac facility, providing innovative, holistic and patient-centred care, committed to serving the needs of the community. As a standalone hospital, housing world-ranking Monash University and the Victorian Heart Institute, all on one campus, it combines world-class clinical care, research, education and training representing a powerful model of collaboration, innovation and excellence.
The first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, the Victorian Heart Hospital provides tailored cardiovascular care for all Victorians, and specialised life-saving procedures for our community. It also sets a new international benchmark for cardiac hospital design in a purpose-built facility with access to landscaped spaces exuding calm and tranquillity, to enhance the patient experience and positively impact clinical outcomes.
Cardiac Emergency
Australia’s’ first on-site Cardiac Emergency with a 24/7 cardiac registrar and unique specialised emergency model will facilitate timely and effective patient care. As the only 22 bed capacity with embedded cardiology services and integrated model of care, it will provide state-of-the-art technology, including Point of Care Ultrasounds (POCUS) such as bedside Echocardiograms to deliver patient centred modern emergency care with access to cardiac care specialists.

About You
You are an accomplished Nursing professional, who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks all opportunities to further upskill and master your critical care cardiac expertise. A positive role model, you lead by example and thrive motivating and mentoring a team of equally passionate nurses.
Working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary emergency team, you also bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
Postgraduate Certificate or higher in Critical Care Nursing (Emergency, Acute or Critical Care)
Demonstrated management and well-developed leadership skills
Able to facilitate a positive work culture to inspire a high performing team
Demonstrated change management experience to drive continuous improvement
Provide holistic patient centred cardiac care at all times
Team drive and to work autonomously and think critically under pressure
Clear, articulate communicator with exceptional time management skills
Availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
Current AHPRA registration and eligibility to work in Australia
