JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

• This position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an effective business partnering capability that will provide Business Units with timely and appropriate support, financial information and analytical tools to manage performance of the Business Units. This position is the key contact for Business Units, especially for Sales and Marketing teams, and has the ability to influence decision making and assist with driving Business Units' performance. Role supports two key business units: Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) and Electrophysiology Heart Failure (EPHF) Divisions

Your key responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

• Finance business partner to Corporate Accounts Manager responsible for and Tenders. This will include preparing and participating in business reviews and planning cycles (LBE) reviews.

• Working closely with Commercial business to evaluate margin impact related to investment decisions, pricing and promotions, and business development opportunities to support the making of decisions.

• Ensuring pricing proposals are compliant with corporate pricing policy across the CRM & EPHF business and authorisation is properly documented.

• Update and monitor market status of products within the customer groups.  Understand the impact of market dynamics, share, and innovation on the forecast assumptions.

• Act as the single provider of relevant business unit data to the Finance Controllers for consolidation into FP&A reporting including Plan, LBE, and long-term innovation forecasts. 

• Prepare Corporate Account reports, ad hoc reporting and/or analysis as required by Corporate Accounts Manager.

• Manage and develop one direct report. 

• Oversee the rebate and Sales incentive process performed by direct report including:

• timely & accurate calculation and accrual of monthly rebates and payments are executed in accordance with approved Rebate agreements and properly authorized in accordance with corporate policy.

• Timely & accurate calculation of sales incentive and relevant accruals for the CRM/EPHF divisions in accordance with annual sales incentive plans.

• Sales territory alignment within SAP for Abbott Medical divisions.

• Defining and implementing best practice planning and control techniques in line with business needs. 

What makes you a successful candidate?

• 5+ years of working experiences in multiple financial positions including financial reporting & analysis, and commercial business support with multinational companies.

• Good understanding of Healthcare, Pharma and Medical device industry preferred.

• Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance metrics, project evaluation and commercial acumen.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to simplify complex situations and synthesise, communicate and present complex information. 

• Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative.

• CA/CPA qualified.

This role is an exciting opportunity to support the Head of Business Management and 1L Risk and Senior Manager Risk - Finance in the maintenance of Finance's Risk Management Framework.

The Finance Risk Manager is a delivery role which will assist with risk and control assessment across Finance. The role is responsible for contributing to initiatives within the Finance business risk function, with a specific focus on executing the Annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Control Assurance Plan and Incident and Breach Management process on behalf of Finance.

This role will support and advise the business to identify, classify, measure and monitor their risks and/or compliance requirements and issues and specifically;

• Lead and execute on the Line 1 Controls Assurance plan
• Lead and execute in the Line 1 Risk reporting framework
• Lead in managing the quality of Finance data in TRACx (Risk management system)
• Partnering with business stakeholders in completing their Risk and Control Self-Assessments
• Support Finance to continue to develop a sound Risk Management and/or Compliance culture within the organisation.
• Partnering with business stakeholders to assess and document the operational and compliance risk elements associated with the current suite of change initiatives across Finance.

Key accountabilities:

• Responsible for supporting the Head of Business Management and 1L Risk and Senior Manager Risk - Finance in the establishment and maintenance of Finance's Risk Management Framework.
• Deliver timely Risk Management and/or Compliance analysis and advice to specific areas of the organisation to enable the business to be commercially successful and fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for conducting risk assessments on the design and operational effectiveness of Finance's key processes and produce timely control assurance reporting.
• Responsible for assisting the business in identifying and formulating corrective strategies and implementation plans for key corrective actions and preventative controls.
• Support the managing of the monthly Finance Risk Committee including leading the discussions on deep dives sessions and insights on risk matters such as Incident root-causes.
• Responsible for assist the Finance team members in identifying the potential risks and compliance issues associated with their day-to-day business goals, including assisting the incident and breach reporting process.
• Support Finance to continue to develop a sound Risk Management and/or Compliance culture within the organisation.

Gordon Brothers was acquired by Johnson Controls in 2023. We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead the accounting operation and finance activities of Gordon Brothers. This role will partner with the acquisition finance team and business, drive competitive and sustainable business growth through independent, objective and value-creating financial analytics.

Responsibilities include:

• Integrate the acquisition to comply with JCI accounting policies and procedures, including day-to-day finance processes, revenue recognition on project and services accounting, establishing the new financial delegation of authorities, segregation of duties, and reconciliations.

• Responsible for annual Plan and rolling forecast. Oversees the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and ensures delivery of accurate and timely forecasts.

• Establish and oversee processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensure high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.

• Partner with business to provide in-depth, accurate and timely analysis to support the decision making. Identify issues and advise management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. Drive appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency. Manage and closely monitor the cash flow and takes action to improve Net Working Capital.

• Assess business risk exposure and defines risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance. Ensure risk management processes are consistently implemented in own area of responsibility. Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.

• Ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Define and implement internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. Ensure compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines.

• Develop the finance integration plan with the business and other JCI functions.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance and / or Accounting.

• Recognized professional accountancy qualification (CA, CPA) is required.

• M&A experience.

• 8+ years’ experience in finance, accounting and auditing related areas with a focus on business analytics and solid accounting / financial experience.

• 5+ years of solid team management experience.

• Strong strategical-thinking skill, decisive and logical.

• Advanced Excel and data management skills are required.

• Knowledge of the Pronto ERP is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of OneStream (similar Hyperion/HFM) is highly desirable.

• Project management skill is desirable.
